If your toilet seat is loose, or if you find yourself reaching behind and under your toilet base to tighten those ineffective nylon bolts and nuts, THESE ARE FOR YOU! br>br>Pull the seat off, and push these fasteners down through the holes in your ceramic toilet base from THE TOP WITH THE SCREW IN IT (you may need to work them around a bit or put some soap/lubricant on the outside of the bulb), leaving the rubber lip on top. Replace the seat on the base and secure it with screws after both have been installed in the base. The bulb gets squished into the hole as the screw tightens; once it's snug, adjust the toilet seat to the proper position and tighten the screws.
Our toilet seats always seemed to be loose for some reason - These are fantastic, but not right now. What can you say about a toilet seat bolt? The only problem is that they didn't come with instructions, so it took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to use them.
After years of dealing with toilet lids that have come loose due to plastic ( These replacements work just as well as the original (ineffective) screws. It was a few months ago that I installed them. They've done such a good job that I'd completely forgotten about them. They keep the lid in place safely. Never allow yourself to become loose.
They are advertised as standard size, but they are too small to fit an American Standard toilet. The bolts were too big to fit through the toilet's holes. Returned.
I'll have to think of a way to get them into the toilet's holes.
It's working perfectly. There will be no more sagging chairs. The plastic bolts that came with the seats were a complete waste of time. The seats aren't as loose as they used to be. I would strongly suggest it.
They've been in place for a few months and are still going strong. I'm happy about it.
