Although we tried tricks from the internet, we were unable to get it to work. It was important to us that the InSinkErator Evolution Select Plus 3/4 HP would not have to be removed out of frustration because of the flange replacing. It is quite difficult to lift the disposal and fit it in the flange, as it is with any garbage disposal. When I installed my disposal a couple of years ago, my wife taught me that it's best to jack up the disposal before putting it in place. Rather than lifting, I am able to use my brain and my arms as I fit I noted that the InSinkErator Evolution Select Plus 3/4 HP is a powerful and quiet appliance. As for InSinkErator Evolution Supreme SS, it is supposed to be quieter but that is a little hard to believe. My first impression is that they are both the same. For the money, I think the InSinkErator Evolution Select Plus 3/4 HP is your best choice.
I never knew I could find such a good disposal. There is so much power, and it is that quiet that people have told me it does not work. There may be a little adjustment to make in tight spaces since it is a little bigger than others.
