With the Insinkerator PRO 750 Disposer, you have a durable piece of equipment in your hands. I could not tell if it was on the first time I used it because I had to put my ear next to the sink. I did not get everything I needed out of the box but the electric plug which is standard. It is also the quietest garbage disposal I have ever heard. It was very easy to install, I just removed the old disposer and clicked this one in its place! Insinkerator uses a proprietary "Quick Install" sink flange. Even the drain lines and dishwasher matched the old one perfectly, despite the old one having a 1/3 horse-power engine. Though this unit is heavy, I was able to install it by myself. The instructions say that two people should handle this job, but I lifted it with my knees while keeping both feet under the sink. By doing so, I had my hands free to tighten it. I had difficulty removing the dishwasher connector, but that was the only frustrating part. In the instructions, a screwdriver and hammer were supposed to be used to pull the flap out, but it didn't work. It had been punctured by a screwdriver. In the end, I used the screwdriver to drill a large hole in the plug and it seems to be working correctly.
Using only common hand tools and a little time, I installed it myself in about 40 minutes. As I was testing it for the first time, I thought it was not Although I was aware it was going to be quiet, I had no idea how quiet it would be. My test run with an apple took care of it instantly, and I was surprised at how quiet it was. I would definitely recommend spending a little extra on a disposal like this. As opposed to the badger, this is so much more convenient!.
I replaced it with the new one, but the new one appears to have less HP than the old My replacement disposal smells of mold quite persistently, whereas my other disposal did not even when I cleaned it regularly. Already, two different areas of the baffle have cracked, which I have never seen before on any other Putting it through a lot is part of what we do. The fact that the machine makes an odd clicking noise is very disappointing considering the price I paid.
Installing this device is pretty straightforward. Sink replacement is what I choose - There is still little to no difficulty mounting the portion. I was most concerned about the new connection point for the disposal for the tee from the existing sink to the existing disposal. As of the time of this writing, there were not enough parts in the unit to secure the connection effectively In order to resolve my problem, I had to go to the hardware store and spend about $5. If other conditions are present, I assume that those issues will be different or not exist.
The battery has held up for about three weeks, and it is a great battery. So far, chicken bones have been eaten as well as everything we've put in there. I can't believe how quiet it is. I hired a professional to do the installation (since we didn't have a disposal before) and even he was amazed at how quiet it is compared to a plug kit for it since it was about the same price and it was a hassle to collect the parts and they worked great. There is a 9year warranty on the product with in-house repair The house sitter will come to you. It can't be easy, so I'll update in a year. They don't want to come out, so they must really stand behind their product.
The unit is extremely quiet (for a disposal system, that is), so it is a great option if you need a strong disposal. When I owned a Badger 5 model, I could hear it sound like a saw that is used for cutting reused the old "sink collar" so that saved a bit of time. The previous Badger 5, made by the same manufacture, developed cracks very early in its life and leaked water all over. model 750 appears to be better constructed and quieter than any 750 model that has been previously released. This is a definite must-read!.
I really like the auto reverse feature because it avoids The extra price over a 1/4th HP or 1/3rd HP model is definitely worth it.
Perhaps don't make the same dumb mistakes I did. Before you install your dishwasher, remember to punch the plug out unless you want to install it twice.
The unit is exceptionally quiet when it is It was turned off before, but I forgot to do it! A few seconds later, it stopped working, but I hit the reset button, and it resumed working after that. Electrical work was being done at the time, so that may have prompted the reset to take place. I would purchase it again in the near future. The deadline is unlikely to be before 10pm It is 15 years old.
