In other words, it's a limiter for From the switch above the stem, it appears that the switch all the way to the left allows the maximum amount of hot water to pass When you move it forward (it has a total of four or five positions), it restricts the amount of hot water that can pass through and prevents your faucet handles from moving left in relation to the five It is actually possible to move tire faucet handle to the left the most is actually in the center after you move switch all the way to the right. If you have extremely hot water and you want to avoid scolding someone with it, you need to adjust this only.
According to my opinion, the cartridge will only replace cartridges of the same type. Should the gasket shape or spring design not be available, you might have to change the It would be best if you contacted a Delta Dealer directly.

It's been over a month since I replaced my valve but it still works. The valve I bought was purchased from Amazon on January 24, I was having a leaking valve that I had to make sure to place the handle in the neutral, central position every single time I turned off the water, or the water would Eventually, the inconvenience became too much to bear. I rebuilt my valve less than 1 year ago and it solved the problem, however, it is starting to return. While reading some of the previous reviews, I discovered that Delta will replace the valve at no charge. To reach their customer service department, dial 800-569-7321 The number 345. I believe that this is a common problem for a few of their faucets, and they were very friendly and understanding. In addition, they asked for the product/model number of my faucet, but I explained that the number was not stamped on any part of the top. It may be under the sink. Although the valve itself does carry the part number 50587, it was sufficient for them to identify it. A new one will be sent out, and I will be emailed a tracking number, so I should see it within 7 days There are 10 days left. A faucet that old would have cost over $200 three or four years ago. You can't beat that kind of service. The installation of the valve is simple and does not require you to crawl under the sink, other than to shut off the water before you begin. I hope this will help someone save a little.
No exception exists here when it comes to low level engineering and sub standard leaky designs- The demise of Delta is an embarrassment to the United States and the once great company We are playing a joke on our friends, and the joke is on us. I must say that, in case you didn't know, my review on the product is. . . You're dealing with a POS here. A leak will occur at the faucet termination as a result. I guarantee you that if you call Delta, they are free, tell them you want five of them so you will be covered every year for the next five years, and set the clock they will fail! Professional MEchanic from 1988-2010. I am present.
Back in the '70s and '80s, I did many kitchen remodels, and they were all excellent. Purchased two years ago, this faucet is still in good condition. Following 15 months of use, the pipe began leaking. It has been nine months since I replaced the cartridge. I now have a leak from the "new" cartridge. Nearly $30 is the cost of each replacement cartridge. Depending on your position, cheap products, inferior designs, inferior workmanship, or bad quality control are more likely to occur- The four ideas can be combined in any way you like. I would avoid using all Delta products in the future as a result of this experience. AVOID BUYING unless you're prepared to risk losing everything.
Despite purchases from a big box store in the past year and a half, we have a three (3) year old Delta kitchen sink faucet that hasn't really worked properly. I have been experiencing more creaking and squeaking, difficulty moving, and only being able to use two (2) temperatures of water - hot and cold. Having too much or too little heat or I had to replace it or attempt to repair it when the complaining became so loud. Although it wasn't certain that replacing the cartridge would solve the problem, I ordered and installed this one in the hope of avoiding spending stupid money to replace the entire We are very happy to report that the faucet is working again after five minutes of effort. I did not need a tool for this and only needed a hex key of the right size. I will outline the process here 1 *br It is crucial that you do not miss this step. The off was in the cabinet under the sink)*2. The hot/cold indicator button must be removed from the faucet handle (ours has a single handle). The grub screw that holds the handle on must be removed by using a hex key of the proper size (the grub screw is under the hot/cold indicator button on the handle) and the handle must be removed
4. I just grabbed the cap and turned it until it came off. Remove the metal cap covering the old cartridge (I didn't need a tool). As much as possible with the cap off. It is a good idea to take a picture of your old cartridge so you will be sure to install the new one properly. Regardless, make sure to note how the old one was oriented in its hole if you haven't already. The old cartridge can be extracted using the metal stem of the printer (it's tight and requires some gentle wobbling back and forth as it's being removed)
6. Install the new cartridge into the hole, making sure it is oriented in the same way as the previous one.
8. Replace the cap over the cartridge (make sure it is firmly screwed down). The handle should be put back on*9. The water should now be flowing again. Turn the water on and test if it gives hot and cold water and if there are any leaks. Likewise, turn the handle to turn on the faucet and make sure it works*10. In that case, you need to reinstall the grub screw to hold the handle in place, and then press the hot/cold indicator back into the handle to cover the grub screw. That's all there is to.
Two years after I purchased my Delta kitchen faucet I noticed it was becoming increasingly difficult to turn the water off without dips or a steady trickle of water. I was able to fix it this way. Getting the job done is not difficult. With only a 1/8" hex bit and my trusty Channellocks, I was all set. After I purged the residual water out of the faucet, it took maybe five minutes to replace the Nevertheless, this should not be considered as a source of complacency Make sure the cartridge doesn't fall out. I had that happen to me and the gray top came off, causing parts inside of the cabinet to fall out all Thanks to my quick reaction, I was able to fix everything and it is working normally again. It is certainly worth it for an ounce of prevention to be The Delta crew could and should have done better, so I have given it four stars. In a similar vein, other reviewers make the point that paying a hefty price for a good product is not ideal During its first two years, this faucet had a key component that never made it through. It would be nice if this lasted a little My analysis of the internal parts (mostly plastic pieces) led me to believe the price is excessive for what you actually get (although I found the lowest price on Amazon). The leak is not sufficient to make me want to replace the faucet (yet), but it would make me question whether buying Delta products in the future is a wise investment.
