My shower faucet was no longer noisy thanks to these two components

I'm going over two sections: 023529-American Standard 023529-American Standard 023529-American Standard 023529-American Standard 023529-American 051091-0070A cartridge and 051091-0070A cartridge The 0070A Pressure Balance Unit is a piece of equipment that measures the amount of pressure in a br>br>I have an American Standard Reliant Model 1495 in my possession. xxx Faucet for the shower. Whenever I turned on the water in my house, my shower faucet squealed. The noise became increasingly obnoxious. When I turned off the water anywhere in the house, I heard what sounded like loose water pipes from water hammer. Both problems were solved with these two replacement parts! To secure loose pipes, there's no need to rip a wall apart. Maybe there weren't any dangling pipes to begin with. Perhaps the pressure balance unit can also be used as a water hammer stopper. I have no idea, but the issues have been resolved. br>br>The 023529-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I didn't have to use the old hot limit stop because the 0070A part came with it already attached. br>I did not place an order for a new 'disk with screws' (which I refer to as a plate). All of the screws should be saved, as well as the plate. br>br>To remove the old pressure balance unit, I used a pair of channel locks and carefully and slowly pulled and twisted it out of the valve. It had to be squeezed in. Consider tooth extraction as an example. br>br>FYI, I unscrewed and opened the old pressure balance unit to see what it was like inside; the rubber diaphragm was rotten and had little black specs on it. There were also a few calcium shards. Although I believe the noise was caused by the pressure balance component rather than the cartridge, I recommend that both be replaced. br>br>This faucet's original parts lasted 23 years. The second set went on for 17 years. This is the third set of parts in the series.
NOTE: In June 1995, the manufacturer altered the components for this faucet. Various part numbers were in use prior to 1995.
