Despite my efforts, it did not seem to work very well for this purpose. Using about a 1" sappling, it was hard to get it to work. My card did its job, but I haven't used it since. Due to too much friction, the blade was strained due to the green wood. As long as the diameter is 1/2" or smaller, it is
This machine is mainly for pvc and abs pipe, and it definitely does an exceptional job with that. The blade is certainly strong enough to cut small branches, but I haven't tried it.

Light and comfortable for one-handed operation You can use it either hand
A bright red color is easy to identify in your tool bag
Compact enough for most spaces. Make sure you watch out for , however. (Great tool but cuts so fast that old, brittle pvc explodes when resting on fitting (cracked pipe)
This tool was kept in direct sunlight on a hot, sunny day. It is slow to charge the battery. Then he lay down to rest (and he emerged from the shade). The old pvc cutters are no longer in my tool bag. I still use a cordless sawsall to cut old piping. Who invented this new product? I would like to extend a big thank you!.
It is imperative that you use a saw to cut PVC that has been exposed to the sun for a prolonged period of time, as the material becomes brittle from UV light exposure and will crumble when squeezed. PVC that is still pliable will work perfectly with this cutter. During my first day, I had 1 My 2012 project consisted of three 1/2" PVC pipes that were running to an index valve this cutter shattered (as anticipated) each of those 3 pipes above ground, but it worked absolutely perfectly on the underground portion of the The sprinkler index valves I had were replaced with individual valves, so I built a manifold using various fittings and probably cut about 30 holes in 1-inch pipe. Pipes of 1/2 inch. It was easy to install and didn't produce any plastic debris which is why the installation time was shortened as well as not having to worry about clogging your sprinklers with plastic. As long as the pipe is placed in the jaws and pulled the trigger, you can cut it even in narrow trenches since all you have to do is place the pipe in the jaws and cut it. In addition to a forward and reverse button, the tool includes a button to pop the blade back open to its starting point. Using the automated cutter reduces the amount of hand muscle used as compared to manual cutters by about four seconds. The version I own came with a standard case and a battery, but I wish it came with a Packout case.
I feel as if this tool should be hanging from the back of The program works great, however. I would like the controls to be a bit easier to use after awhile, but after you get the hang of it, it is fine. Clean, dust free cuts are made on this saw, which is ideal for work in ditches or any other location where breaking off those saw scraps is a challenge. This system works great with all plastic pipe from 1/2" CPVC to 2" schedule 40, according to my experience. The jaws can also cut plastic hose as well as most anything else that gets caught in them.
I find this to be a very interesting product that makes cutting PVC piping so much more Using this product was so easy, and the end result was perfect cuts every time. I used it for the 365 gallon aquarium plumbing, and over two hundred connections were made. Using a pipe cutter would cause me to lose my mind if I didn't have one. The only complaint I have is that the instructions are hard to read (very small print) and are not very easy to use.
My only regret is that they did not have this when I began working in this field. Since I have been using the original blade since I purchased the kit, I was interested in the cost of the blades. Please ignore any doubts you may have if you are looking at this. I now think of it as one of my favorite tools.
It sliced through pipe like butter when I charged it up. I went to use the tool again a few weeks later, and the tool started flashing red lights. Even though I tried everything, even bought a new charger and battery, I still could not get my phone to work. Thanks a lot, now I have a $200 paper weight.
It seemed like I would always need one in the future and I finally got one when we were doing a big irrigation job involving over 1200' of 1-inch pipe With a couple hundred fittings and two inches of PVC pipe, now seemed like the perfect opportunity The knife is well worth the investment, it makes clean cuts very easily, it saves a lot of time, it is easy to use with arthritic hands, and the blade seems to be holding up well There are a number of nice features included in this set, including a tool, battery, charger, There is a spot in the case where I can put an extra battery, so I bought an extra. Thank you for letting me know that Amazon makes replacement blades available.
It's clean and fast. During the learning curve, there is a slight increase in speed. If you are using a ratcheting pvc cutter, use it as you would one. When you just cut, then the pvc pipe is likely to break. But when you start cutting, make sure you rotate the pipe to make a little groove in the wall. Once you have cut, you can throw very easily. As compared to using a sawzall or a hacksaw, it makes very clean cuts. You don't have to mess with chips. The battery life on this phone is great, no issues there. The only thing I would like is to have 3 inches of cutting range.
