The answer is yes. Cutting sheetmetal for car projects is one of the main uses of this tool
My radius on 18 gauge has been cut down to roughly 3 inches in both directions. That would be a much tighter cut.
attempted to cut steel corrugated pole barn metal, but it didn't I've tried it on flat panels and it seems to work. Cutting sections of vehicle floors with a sawzall, equipped with short metal cutting blades, and a cheap air powered hacksaw has been my experience.

There could be a better way to do this. Basically, it's good for trimming the perimeter, but if you try to cut a piece in half requiring two pieces, the cutting process will damage one of the pieces.
It is top notch. It is easy to use and makes straight cuts. I have used it on aluminum diamond plate and I was extremely happy with its performance. Let's admit that I am not an expert tin knocker, but this is an excellent machine when compared to a nibbler.
This is his third shear, which he says is useless. He does HVAC so he has had multiple shears in the past.
It works great for ripping sheet without excessive dimpling, and making turns is easy with it, as always. I've only owned it for about a month but it has a lot of power and is rugged and very reliable. My only issue with the thumb switch is that it's a little small.
All right.
A great tool to use. It would have been nice to have bought one of these many.
I like it a lot.
It's the best on the market and is very quiet.
