A solid foundation

Because I've only used this for a day and have no experience with it, please take these comments with a grain of salt. There are a lot of fine details in the product. It is a tool that is not particularly versatile, but is very good at what it is designed to do. By doing so, it cuts off the flow of information. The first time I cut 1/2" square aluminum rod, I cut a total of 16 inches. Despite the heavy workload, it handled it easily and without a fuss. I don't know how long the battery would have lasted. Even when I was finished with it, it was still going. It is stated in the manual that the blades should be 32" (813mm) long, but the box and website say they are 32 7/8" (835mm). The change has not been attempted so I cannot say for My complaint is this Despite the fact that it was supposed to come with a Blade Tracking Wrench, one wasn't included The wrenches you need are metric.

A broken, old, used battery was included in the package

There has yet to be a problem with the tool and it works well. When the battery arrived with the new battery and charger, there was a black "X" covering the information about the battery's warranty. No charge would be taken by the battery. My call to DeWalt was answered by a representative stating that this battery was manufactured in 2015 and that it may be a repack defect. I am not happy with this.

tool with superior quality for use on the job site

You can use this band saw for cutting flexible conduit, coaxial or copper water pipe, mounting metals for garage angle brackets, and other kinds of metals. The cutting process is much quicker than using a metal hacksaw. This is a highly recommended book.
