Questions & Answers

Is there a dust collector included with this sander?

Although the one I bought did not include a dust collector, it was well worth the money. It appeals to me.

I've never used a sander before, but I have a strip of mold in my closet that needs to be removed. Is this a feasible option?

I used this sander to refinish furniture and was very happy with the results. It should remove mold from the molding, right? I'm not sure if sanding a wall directly is a good idea.

I'm looking for sandpaper, but I don't know where I can get it. ?

There is insufficient power
3/5

I thought I'd get one of these because they're only 16 bucks, but the power isn't worth it. I simply compared it to my Black. There's no comparison between Decker and a sanding job I had. I'll return it the next day.

Sander is a naughty little rascal
5/5

This is a great little sander to have - It's much better than the low price suggests, and it has a much more powerful and solid feel than I anticipated. I was so pleased with the first one that I went out and purchased a second one when a neighbor asked to borrow it while I was working on my deck railing. Others might want to borrow it as well, so I decided to buy one as a loaner. I wanted to be helpful, but I'm not keen on lending my prized tools, so I bought one. This way, if someone burns a piece of sandpaper and damages the Velcro, I won't be bothered because I'll have a backup plan. At this price, I have the financial means to be a generous neighbor:.

The show is still going strong
5/5

I'm using this palm sander on a vehicle restoration project; it wasn't designed for this, but it's working great for me. The only criticism I have is that the sander is a little taller than I had hoped to find when I started looking. Having said that, I don't see how the height would be an issue on any in-home project. I'm thinking of using it for a home project. This poor little sander is currently being abused on a daily basis in an attempt to remove 9 layers of paint from the window tracks, edges, and interior of a 1970 Karmann Ghia. It's simply a lot lighter and easier to handle on curved, difficult-to-reach, and overhead areas than the air-powered version. The lighter weight and agility of the powered DA sander that we have is really helping me stick to the project for longer stretches of time each day, and I'm not saying that we women are in any way wimpy, mind you.

For small projects, this is a cute little guy
5/5

I only needed to sand a few small items around the house, and this little guy is perfect for the job. I used it to sand down an old stool before repainting it. Great. I've used it to sand down the spackling on my wall and to remove a small amount of stain prior to repainting. br>br>During a floor repainting project, it wasn't strong enough to even out the old hardwood impurities on my flooring. br>br>If you're working on a long project, take breaks to avoid overheating the motor. I'm guessing that's why it died after one or two projects, according to the reviews. I've got one more project ahead of me, and I'm crossing my fingers that by taking breaks, I'll be able to finish it as well:.

What you pay for is exactly what you get
3/5

It was a great price, but it died after only 5 to 7 times of use! It was simple to use, but not for my kitchen cabinet resurfacing project. br>I'm not sure if I should send it back. It's been more than a year since I bought it. br>I should've asked for a refund and sent it back. br>It was my fault; Amazon would have issued a refund. br>I now have my old, heavy one, which has been with me for over 20 years. br>Wondering if there's one that's a little lighter.

The quality is in doubt
3/5

The sander was one of my favorites. It's light and easy to move around with. The edge, on the other hand, leaves black marks on surfaces that are close to it. by means of wood pieces The sander began to rattle internally after only a few uses, which was particularly concerning. I felt as if small pieces of my body had broken off. I was worried about my own safety.

I wish I had gotten one with a dust catcher because it's great for small jobs and tight spaces
5/5

This is a fantastic little sander for small projects as well as getting into tight spaces on larger projects. I ended up purchasing a random orbital sander because I had a large project that was taking too long on the initial passes, and the random orbital is better for 40 or 60 grit. The palm sander is then used for small spaces and sanding 80 and higher. It will sand down to 40 or 60 grit, but it will take a long time, which may be fine if you only have a small project. The random orbital sander I bought has a dust catcher, which is so convenient to have that I wish I had paid a little more for one with one. I broke the plastic attachment trying to make it work because it was awkward to use when connected to a vacuum. Still, for the price, it's a fantastic sander!.

Died
3/5

Before buying this sander, I already owned one Genesis tool. It's a multi-tool that oscillates. It's a lot of noise. Apart from that, I adore it. As a result, I expected this tool to deliver the same level of performance. I didn't get a month's worth of use out of it. Until the inevitable, I really enjoy everything about it. It wasn't particularly powerful, but that didn't bother me because it made it easier to control when detail sanding, which was why I bought it in the first place. I would have given it a higher rating if it hadn't happened so quickly.
