Questions & Answers
I simply bought whatever was available at my local hardware store. Purchasing 8" by 12" sheets and cutting them into four equal pieces is more cost effective. The most expensive are brand-name sheets that have already been cut to size.
I'm unable to respond because the clips that hold the sandpaper in place on my Dewalt D26441K melted away when I used it on wood boards.
I use the sander indoors as well and find it to be very effective at collecting dust. For prepping wood for carving, I use a fine grit paper for the majority of my sanding. Although a small shop vacuum can be used with the sander, I haven't found it necessary for my purposes.

I'm an intermediate hobby woodworker, and I use those tools for that purpose. br>br>It's a good sander for small jobs and light use, in my opinion. However, if you're planning a project that will require a lot of sanding, you should look elsewhere. br>br>On the down side, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong with the adhesive sandpaper, but it's very difficult to remove after use and damages the pad underneath. The sandpaper, on the other hand, is fantastic, and the tool sands beautifully. br>br>Once again, it could be user error, but the dust catch is the main reason I gave 4/5. It's there, I believe, for the sake of appearances. br>br>Cord is a strong and long-lasting material. However, because I always connect to a ground extension cord, the length of the cord has never been an issue for me. Honestly, it was well worth the money. br>br> If/when mine breaks, I'll most likely purchase another. The only reason to upgrade is if your project requires more processing power.
This is what my wife uses because she does not like ROS. br>br>She is enamored with it. I find it fills corners better than any other sander I have, ROS always leaves that swoop in the corners where round doesn't fit, and I refinish furniture as much as I build, so finishing it assembled is sometimes more practical. It sands well, and changing grits or adding a new sheet takes no more time than putting on a ROS with Velcro. making use of the squeeze clamp.
br>br>Because my previous sander was round, I needed to purchase special sandpaper - This one appeals to me because it can be made with ordinary sheets. I get a lot of squares as a result of this. The hole puncher that comes with it is also well-designed and simple to use. br>br>Clamping the paper on correctly with the clips that hold it takes a little effort, but it's not too difficult - It took me about 30 seconds to fold and align everything properly.
I made the decision to re-read the book. do the same with my kitchen cabinets I wasn't sure if I was trying to bite off more than I could handle, but I figured - What the hell is going on here? What's the worst that can happen? I'm happy to report that this small, lightweight sander did an excellent job. Yes, it's a bit loud, but it's a powerful tool. What do you think? They make a lot of noise, but they're easy to control (I'm 5'2 and 120 pounds, so I'm not a big guy) and get the job done. It's just that I wish they'd made pre-made pre-made pre-made pre cut a piece of sanding paper that sticks to the face of it. Securing the paper under the spring-loaded gizmos was a bit of a pain for me. Overall, I highly recommend it, and I've sanded 45 cabinet doors and corresponding cabinet faces with it and it has never let me down. After that, it's time to go to the restroom!.
After only a few weeks of use, the clips that hold the sandpaper in place broke, and I had to go to a certified dealer to have them replaced, which cost half as much as the sander itself. I'm a little let down.
This is without a doubt one of the best "Palm Sanders" I've ever used. This machine's power is out of this world, and it makes finishing jobs a breeze. With a built-in multi-media player, this is a very well-designed product. a vacuum receptacle that can be connected to a port; Cutting down standard full sheet sandpaper with a 1/4 sheet sandpaper design; Vacuum access is made simple with a sandpaper hole punch. I can't say enough good things about this machine: it's powerful; it's quiet; it's quiet; it's quiet; it simple to use; Regular sheet sandpaper can be used; cord length is adequate. I'm very happy. This book comes highly recommended.
It's amazing it's survived this long after being dropped so many times. I got a ten-fold return on my investment. Although this one does not appear to be identical to my previous one, it performs admirably. On large jobs, there appears to be a bit more quitting and less operator fatigue. It makes me happy! The only criticism is that the dust bag gets in the way, but this is a minor point.
I've had one of these DeWalt sanders for years and recently bought another as a gift for a family member. We both believe the same thing - This sander has a lot of power for its size, and its small size makes it easy to handle and use, with less hand and arm fatigue than a larger sander I previously used. And it can go where the bigger sander can't. It's simple to change the sander sheets, and it keeps them securely in place. This summer, I used it to sand all of the rails and posts on my redwood deck, and it worked flawlessly. The smaller size will probably take a little longer to sand the same amount of surface as a larger sander, but the ease of handling far outweighs that fact in my opinion.
