Since I've been working as a mechanic for almost 30 years, I know just how powerful an air ratchet is. My tools are renamed and color coordinated as soon as they are replaced. It surprised me the heck out of me to find an air ratchet. The little brute will break free the bolt if you have a nut or bolt in a tight space that your 3/8 ratchet can't reach. On the other hand, don't pull the trigger without it being attached to a fastener, this little thing spins so fast, your socket will fly out the window. Please be very careful when tightening small bolts, as this thing has so much power that it can easily break them. The possibility of doing this has not yet occurred to me. As a snap on guy, I always bring snapon tools to work, but with us no longer able to write our tools off, I was forced to start looking for less expensive, yet high-quality alternatives. There is no doubt that OEMtools is the right choice. Other than one tool, all of the OEM tools I have bought have been exceptionally good quality and have stood up to shop use.
The speed of this tool is amazing for its size and the power is incredibly impressive. I am an Automotive technician and I use tools like this every day to make a living.
I will buy more OEMTools in the future.
The tool has only been used a couple of times, but I am not pleased with it. In addition, the rpms are too high, and the sockets don't stay in place This is a very powerful machine, but you cannot keep it on if it is not in the socket.
There is a lot of noise.
It was exactly as advertised, a great tool, and it was delivered fast.
Although the tool was fast, the socket would spin off the anvil if you pulled the trigger without it being on a nut. I returned the tool.
It has been extremely irritating to use the ratchet since I got it. The sockets and/or extensions do not stay on the engine, they just fly off and I spend the next 20 minutes with a flashlight and a magnet trying to keep them in place. My mouth has felt retracted four times with the use of four different kinds of retaining rings (snap on, matco, mac, and a brand off brand) but nothing has worked. I think it's a good idea, but it's horrible to execute. There should have been a more thorough examination of it.
