As long as it was not allowed by IR, I did not receive a kickback. For removing a fitting, it was possible to use a large 3 inch hole saw on ABS plastic plumbing. The team delivered excellent results despite the tight space constraints. It is easier than drilling right angles with a hole hawg. Unlike an impact wrench, it's not very powerful. Rusty nuts and bolts might not hold up to the solution.
A 3/8 ratchet with a 1/2 head, that's what I think this is. The part number I ordered was the incorrect one. There's nothing wrong with it. My old one was twice as strong, so I replaced it with the new one.
I was very pleased with the results. Makes it much easier to remove and install bolts on the side of the motor that only have limited access. It was possible to do it by hand, but it would have taken a long time. A fair amount of the time I use an adaptor to turn a 1/2" drive into a 3/8" drive. We continually taxed my pancake compressor, which keeps up well with a 4 gal capacity and 2 SCFM exhaust pressure. This is a very useful.
But it is not a real powerhouse capable of turning a 1/2 inch socket. It would be nice if there were a little more torque, since I am a professional mechanic. The same amount of torque will be delivered by a decent 3/8 ratchet. Having a 1/2 inch drive gives you a little extra torque, but not as much as a standard 3/4 inch drive.
This is a great price! IR are nice quality units and I could not find a better price.
Our weakest link!.
Good torque and does a great job. It does a great job, has excellent torque, and is worth the price.
