Questions & Answers

Is there a charger for the battery included?

The charger is, in fact, included!

Is it possible for you to cut tiles in a straight line?

When straight cuts are desired, I hold a board at the cut line to guide the blade. Freehand cuts are difficult to get perfectly straight with any tool without some sort of fence/guide. Assuming you're cutting ceramic tile with a carbide grit blade, keep the board on the side you're keeping so that if the blade slips or wanders off line, it'll be on the waste side. To cool the blade, use a small amount of water. At the very least, take a break from time to time to immerse the blade in water to keep it cool. A diamond-bladed grinder is far more effective. It will take a long time to use multiple tools. A cordless grinder is also available from Dewalt.

What is the range of its speed (or frequency of oscillation)? Please accept my sincere gratitude. ?

The tool has a variable speed trigger that ranges from 0-20,000 rpm.br> br> 20,000opm

What is the difference between the XR and non-XR DeWalt 20v tools?

Brushless motors (less friction and efficiency) and larger battery packs are used in Extreme Runtime (XR) tools.

Rage Against Belt Clips So far, I've only used it all together for about 1 hour

Today I received it. However, something irritated me to the point where I felt compelled to leave a review. It is locked by pressing the button all the way down from either side, and it is unlocked by placing it in the middle. Which turned out to be quite useful. It was extremely convenient to be able to lock it with either hand. br>br>[Decent Noise Level] - Because I haven't used many of these tools, my comparisons to other tools may be skewed. Plus, I bought a five-pack of belt clips specifically for when I got this bloody thing, so you'll understand. I'm going to try supergluing the heck out of it because I'm afraid it'll fall off. A tool with many uses
5/5

One should be owned by everyone! When I first saw oscillating tool ads, I thought they were just vibratory sanders that could get into tight spots. Last year, I came across the DCS355 after starting to replace my old lower voltage cordless and corded tools with Dewalt 20V Max equivalents. I did some research because I wasn't sure I needed one. I started by looking through all of Dewalt's available accessories. I was blown away by the variety of cutting and sanding tools available, as well as the possibilities they offered. Then I watched a few videos about the Dewalt Oscillating tool, which immediately piqued my interest. br>br>Because I was still gathering batteries and bags for my 20V Max collection, I went with the DCS355 kit. Along with the blade box, I had my heart set on that small guide roller. Both of which are not included with the bare tool and which I couldn't find anywhere (I now know that you can get both for about $11 each from eReplacementParts). Aside from the kit, I wanted to have at least one of each of the accessories that were available. It's a little pricey, but it's well worth it. I've used at least 75% of the acquired accessories in real world situations at least of the acquired accessories in real world situations at least 75 of the acqui When you know the solution to a problem is in that Dewalt bag, it's well worth the money. br>br>The DSC355 is easy to set up and use. When the trigger switch in the middle of the handle is depressed, it turns on the motor and illuminates the front LED light. For longer projects, a button above the switch can be used to lock out the trigger as well as to lock it in the on position. The locked-in state is released with a light tap of the trigger. on the tool's state and brings it to a halt. A Quick Change lever on the tool's front allows blades and accessories to be changed quickly. Simply depress the lever and insert or remove the blade/accessory into the pins that surround the tool mount 360 degrees. You'll only be able to set blades in a 270-degree range, though. As a result, there are a total of seven stops. There are three positions in the map: west, north, and east, as well as two positions in between. There is a location on either side of the battery base where a belt clip can be mounted if desired, which gives you a lot of flexibility when making difficult cuts. Pull the trigger after installing a blade or accessory, and you're ready to go. The speed can be adjusted from 0 to 100 percent. The frequency of oscillations is 20,000 per minute. I had my doubts about the DCS355's ability to cut through 3/4" pine when I took it out of the box and plugged in a battery, so I put it to the test. It whizzed right through without a whimper. Those chisels can go back into the drawer. I need to shave something off my to-do list. It'll be a breeze with the DCS355. I've used the tool to do the following in the last six months: cut openings in drywall (using that handy accessory guide), cut copper and PVC pipe, cut away the grout in floor tiles, vibrate the tiles free, scrape off the remaining adhesive left behind on the floor, grind off adhesive on the backs of some needed tiles, notched out 1x2s mounted to a block wall, notched out molding, sanding away the orange peel on walls for several drywall patches (whole house replumb), cut away the plastic dividers in a couple storage That's all I recall for the time being. I'm sure there were some that I overlooked. br>br>The Dewalt DCS355 Oscillating tool is to home repair and renovation what a Dremel is to hobbyists and model making. This is a toy for older boys. While the DCS355 bare tool costs a little over $100, expect to spend another $100 to $200 on accessories (though the kit does include a few essentials). The last thing you want is a multi-purpose tool that lacks the necessary accessories to finish a project on time. After fifteen minutes of frustration, you'll wonder why you didn't just pay the $9. The accessory that could have completed the task in less than a minute received a score of 95. Except for the sanding prep mentioned above, pulling the tool out of my bag, setting an accessory, snapping on a battery, and finishing the task at hand has taken me less than two minutes. Put away will take another minute or two. What could possibly be wrong with that? For more blade storage options, check out the accessory kits, which include tote boxes. Also, all Dewalt accessories (which is why I only use Dewalt) will work with the quick change tool mount, whereas some other brands may not. For those who do not have access to a computer, the tool comes with an adapter. Accessories for the Dewalt drill. But, regardless of perceived cost savings, I would advise against using anything that does not snap in and out of this tool. But that is just my opinion. br>br>Eight months ago, if you had offered me a half-time job, I would have taken it. I would have advised you to keep the off coupon for an oscillating tool. You'd have a hard time prying my DCS355 from my grip now. When I'm wrong, I almost always admit it. This is one of those books that you'll want to save. You're not going to be let down.

AN EXCELLENT UNIT! (BUT) Be aware that the recommended hook and loop pads, which are sold right next to the unit on Amazon, are far too small
5/5

With its 60 volt 90ah battery, this thing looks like a belt sander as well as providing a good service to painters, but I do have a problem with the hooks on the hook and loop packs since the two screws are very narrow. This can cause problems with the actual sanding disc being.

This is of poor quality! The quality is poor
3/5

It was purchased 7 months ago and was only used for about 15 minutes before it stopped working. Because it's still under warranty, I'll try to get it fixed. For a so- referred to as the- I was surprised that it didn't work with the line tool. For the past 30 years, I've had tools. They've been going strong for over 40 years. I'm extremely disappointed! Now I'll see if it's worth the trouble to fix it!.

In their case, it's an accessory arrangement
5/5

The tool was just delivered. I think it's a solid, well-built tool that will come in handy based on what I've seen so far. I discovered a good solution on the page, which is the case sold separately, while trying to figure out how the accessories fit in their case. I wanted to point out that some reviews stated that the depth guide was missing, which is how I organized mine. One was included in my purchase. And some people mentioned that theirs came with the smaller one. The battery capacity is 5 Ah. Mine is the 2 Ah battery that was mentioned in the description. The charger in question is a DCB112.
