The price is more than worth it
5/5

During a recent job, we used a Freeman that the company purchased, and it was OK, keeping double-sided tape It is fired. This is so- Overall it's a good product. I bought it because I want the best tool I can get my hands on and this one meets that criteria. I have never seen a gun like this before. The case is well-built, and I bought the Toolhangers hook that is actually for an older Max model, since I couldn't find one for this model (more on that down the road). My favorite part is the narrow tip that makes it easy to put a nail right where I There's no doubt that this thing hits hard. . The first rolling was a I took a few seconds to get the first nail tucked in front of the piston on this 90 2 inch ring shank, but it isn't a bad thing since it is As you load the roll, rotate the spool up to the size of the nails to ensure the feed is Because this gun is known for not jamming and because of the tight seal of the piston behind the first nail that is fired, I suspect this is the reason for the reputation. As opposed to the Freeman, the chains do not have loose nails at any point. This gun is not difficult to fire. With this gun, there is no sequential switch, but there is a bump switch When you want bump fire, hold the trigger down and hit the material, and it will bump as fast as you can. Pull the trigger after depressing the tip and releasing the tip if you want sequential. To keep yourself safe, as soon as you remove the safety, the gun will be locked and loaded, so as soon as you are done shooting, click back on the safety. When you have the gun hanging from your belt, it will not cause the trigger to get caught on something, while the tip will be rubbed against something. I highly doubt it will happen, but it does have a chance. really love this feature because I don't have to switch modes or restart the job accidentally since I don't have to switch between them. DIYers wonder why it is so important, but it is essential to our daily work. It's good to see depth in a picture This tool has an adjustable wheel that can be set to fit your needs and, no matter how much air the tool is receiving, it always fires at the correct I would like a counter-offer Do sinks exist? It's a beast, but can it only be used on the surface? So long as the material remains the same, it will do this all day long. No double dipping will be done You don't need to worry about recoil on fire, that is awesome and makes the job go much This gun has less recoil than the Freeman since it has a lighter weight. In contrast to the Freeman, this feels more solid. It has only one flaw, the hook is plastic and janky In the end, it is too small and unattractive In its place, I installed the blue hook from Toolhanger 11815. Originally meant for the older Max, I could only install the main bolt, but so far it seems solid. Also, with the arm tucked into the body of the gun, it fits back into the case, pretty awesome. Quite a few of these items come with a swivel plug for the inlet, which is 1/4 inch in size. The safety glasses are included too, so it's all good. Those of you who are DIY guys might want to check out these It will make your work appear more professional if you use the right gun. You will not double your money if you spend more With this stick, you won't get a jam every time, it performs consistently every single time, and you don't have to re-learn your technique when you take it out every year just oil it up and you're ready to As far as normal pressure guns go, this one is at the top of the heap. Sure, Hitachis and Makities are good, and maybe Bostitch too, but for pros, this gun is top of the list. If I see a carpy try to use this gun I'm going to laugh. Take a pal with you. The fact that you are too cheap to buy this gun doesn't give you the right to use mine. I did not pay $400 to let someone borrow it. When buying tools, I make sure they are good quality and well maintained. Also, this will be my last siding gun, and for the record, I don't intend to buy any more in the future It's better to buy guns that guys can and will rebuild. In other words, guys are likely to rebuild this without too much trouble, but are not likely to rebuild In spite of the silly hook, this weapon is a five-star weapon and we all use Toolhangers anyway, so there's no reason to complain.

An excellent nailer at a reasonable price
5/5

I am convinced that this is the best siding and fence nailer I've used so far. This is a picture of 60 Louisiana-built-trees that I just installed The siding was made of Pacific wood siding and only had 2 jambs. occurred upon initial insertion of the nail coil as there was a bent nail toward the beginning and another that had a kink which was pretty bad and due to the manufacturer of the nails. No problems were encountered during clearing and we went on to fire the rest of the coil without any problems. I set the depth adjustment for the siding and it did not adjust at any time. There were a few nails that were out of level by an eighth of an inch, but that was probably due to something in the framing. However, of all the nails that I shot through the gun, not a single nail went below the surface of the wood siding. I had to tap them with my hammer once the gun was released. It is a very impressive product and, like all of the tools I use, I endeavoured to buy the best possible tool for my purposes. Although some tools may cost a little more, they last a lifetime and are trouble-free. Since I was a kid, I always said "Buy Cheap, Get Cheap. ".

It's a really nice siding nailer, except it doesn't have a depth adjustment
4/5

The walls of the studio are covered with HardiPlank siding, and the nails need to be snug against the cement board but not counter-sunk. In my experience, the depth adjuster moves about three positions before it solidly holds in place. The clicks are quite loose between each other as well. It took a lot of testing for me to get the adjuster in the correct position with duct tape. It seems on this nailer the adjuster adjusts less for each position and then causes that odd clicking sound every third time. This nailer adjusts more at each position than my Hitachi nailers. It is preferable to have an adjuster with a smooth action, one that allows infinite depth variations and stays put no matter where you move Other than the depth adjuster which was a bit annoying, I have no complaints about the nailer. There was a soft plastic boot attached to the nail guide head, which I liked. It was only after I realized how delicate the collating wire on nail coils is, that I got consistent nailing and minimal jamming. In the end, I had to remove the nail coil every time I opened the nail head area to clear it. To prevent accidental twisting or bending of the wires, the collating wires are positioned in this manner. When I did this, I had access to much more In addition, you should test three "nails" on scrap wood after clearing a jam. For the first two drills, usually nothing is going to happen until the nails begin to move Not an issue for me, but I thought the rafter hook was situated in an odd position. As the hose connector prevents it from rotating from one side to another, it cannot rotate from that direction. Although I do not know how other nailers do it, it really limits the machine if you have to choose one side and then switch it over with the hex wrench. I'd say it's kind of thin nylon plastic when you consider the Wright nailer and 300 nails in the coil. It is a good nailer all in all. I have heard bad reviews of the Metabo, however I sort of wish I had gone with my Hitachi nailers rather than the Metabo. The collating wire is more likely to be bent and not the nailer itself that causes most jams.

The design is well thought out. Adjusting the depth of the nail does take a little bit of time. If I had to buy it again, I would.
