To remove the siding from the piece above it, the tool is used to remove the siding from where it is attached. Then you can reinstall the piece into the groove of your starter strip, and then use the tool to attach the new piece to the one above.
There must be some type of spring steel with plastic coated end for a cushioned grip, but I'm unsure what type it is.
It is impossible to give a direct comparison since I have never used the Kobalt toll. It has never given me a problem to use the Malco tool quite a bit. I usually bend the siding hooks that you mention out of the way by hand if they are the ones that are typically used to hold the top course of siding in at the bottom edge.

Vinyl siding can be removed very easily with this thing. This will not cure your cold heart, which will ultimately die since your wife will possibly leave you for an albino little name Carl one day. You left me here in this crummy trailer park drinking whiskey at 6am because it's the only thing I can do to stop hearing voices. Thanks a lot, Nadine. I gave you everything you wanted and you left me here.
I am running a new wire to a doorbell and was hoping to hide it. Under the siding there is a place where I could hide them, however I didn't know how to get in It was told to me by a friend that this cool tool is simple but awesome. The idea of buying single-use tools initially seemed a little odd, but I wanted to give it a shot. It was really great to watch some youtube videos in order to learn how to use this. My life has been saved by this. There's no way I'll be able to pull the siding off and put it back on by myself. It is a tool that latches on to siding, and it can help unclip or reclip the siding. The videos will help you complete the task quickly, so make sure you watch them.
I used it to fix loose siding instead. During my search for tips on how to fix siding that was coming off in places, I came across a video where a fellow used this tool to fix his siding. If it's under $100, you might as well give it a shot. By inserting the tool under the siding lip and pressing it into place, compared to running the tool horizontally along the seam, it took a few minutes at most. There you go, everything is fine!.
We had no luck finding any of these at the big hardware stores around here and had to order these online (since we could not find any in the local hardware stores). It took us less than an hour to finish the project once it arrived. It would be impossible for me to repair vinyl siding without this tool by my side! This is a lesson we can all learn!.
In addition, if you want to remove old siding that you don't care how it turns out, you can use your fingers and a hammer or screwdriver to remove it. You simply need to pull out one of the two ends and it will be easy to unlock. The siding might need to be released using this tool if it's very tight and can't be pulled out from either end. Despite the fact that I only used it 5 times on the project My hands are all that I used to separate the rest of it.
During a video I was watching about RR vinyl siding, I was watching, I saw a tool like this that could be used to replace parts. A piece had been blown away after it was hacked with a weed eater. In the video, it was helping them zip on and off pieces. As you can see from the video, it seemed pretty simple. In the beginning, I had trouble getting it to work, but it turned out that the bottom pieces were broken up. I was able to walk down the length of the 10 ft length of new siding and slide it on with ease as soon as I received it a couple days later. I had to move another piece to a different location and it was just as easy to remove.
The two J-cards I needed to install The vinyl siding of an existing building has been blocked. In her role as As the block base is mounted to the wall behind the siding, I had to pull the siding away in order to get to the block base. As long as I took to open the Amazon envelope and get the cutter out, it took me longer to figure out how to use the tool and pop the siding loose than it did to open the envelope. All you have to do is jam the sucker up in there where the joint is, tug it, and the siding comes free. As soon as I got here, I was so happy As soon as I finished installing the block base and trimming my siding to clear it, I put the joint back together and gave it a bump with the heel of my hand and it popped back into place. As far as siding is concerned, I have not done a lot of work. The first time I used the right tool, I was shocked how easy it was to do.
As I am selling my house, I am selling the pellet stove as well. One of my siding panels had a hole. The job needed to be done myself, so I took it on. It was made possible by this tool. Siding is tricky, so I'm not going to say it was easy. It made it easier and more convenient for me to use this tool It is possible. It took me a little while to learn how to use the siding tool since I had never dealt with siding before, but once I figured it out, it was a snap. Well-built and rugged, this tool will last for years. It is a product I would buy again and highly recommend.
