Can you tell me if this grinder has variable speed?

A single one of these let me make my variable speed I bought it at Amazon with ASIN B0811KDHXV and I put it in an electrical box that I can plug any power tool into, plus I have variable speed whenever I want to *Better than spending an extra $100 to get a variable speed motor

In your statement, it says "1 1/2". What does it mean?

Generally, it refers to the maximum diameter of the grinding wheel that can be used without a guard. I always use 3" cutoff wheels There's no getting around it, but you need to adapt. When you have large wheels, it may be a bit challenging. Don't let anything go wrong.

In this case, what is the key difference between this die grinder and the model ?

a product that was supposed to be delivered the next day and instead took four days to arrive, said it was made in the USA with global components, but when it arrived it was made in China. If I knew this, I wouldn't have bought it.

This die grinder runs smoothly and is of high quality
5/5

Die grinders run very smoothly when used on a large scale. It's almost as if there are no vibrations. The paddle switch with the safety trigger might be a bit heavy and cumbersome to use, but it is so If the grinder is set down on the bench, it will not turn on. It is important to point out that this die grinder runs at 25,000 rpm like most others. Face shields and hearing protection should be used at all times. It is advisable to discard your grinding stone if there are any signs of chips or cracks. When the stone is spun at 25,000 rpm, it experiences very high G-forces It is dangerous to damage the stone because it may come apart explosively. You must run the grinder for a few minutes before using it so that the stone can be tested. There is a lot of weight to this tool, but it is well-made. It is recommended.

Things seem to be going well on unit #3
4/5

The first one shipped worked well until it died within 4 hours of being used. As with the original, the new device worked well until it died in less than four hours. We are in contact with the manufacturer now to resolve this issue. Heat did not appear to be emanating from them Neither drove them hard nor intimidated them Working with simple breaks for the tool while grinding. While I wait for a working solution, I need to find a way to grind. Listed below are the updated 11/05/2017 details
Manufacturer exchanged the unit for a new one at their facility (10 min away, but worth it!)
The new unit has been working well for about two As long as it keeps going, I'm optimistic. My favorite part of using the grinder is when it works.

Overall, it seems to be going well
5/5

'Made in the USA with global materials' is the slogan on the bottom of my unit. The 1- would be of interest to me I am attempting to do a cut to a bushing on the lower control arm of my Ford pickup that is 1/2 inch in diameter. In this case, the bolt in the bushing is seized, so major surgery in a tight space is required to release it, and a guard would make it very hard to go in there and do the procedure, so I wanted an 0-length. There are several options for 1/2 inch cut off wheels, but I am leaning towards The wheel is made of steel with diamonds encrusted around the edge, which is a tougher material than some of the other compounds used in the The Lenox wheel was reported from somewhere to be limited to about 10,000 revolutions per minute. However, another review of the wheel specification shows it can spin up to 40,000 revolutions per minute. In response to Robert Hart's question, he offered a helpful explanation of why he was rated "1- Because of the "1/2 inch" part in the die grinder's description, I should not need a guard when cutting. It has been a real education in terminology for me, with words like "mandrel", "arbor", "shank", and "collet" being widely employed in sales and discussion documents.

My favorite thing about this grinder is the noise it makes
5/5

It must be tough for this tool to withstand all the abuse it receives. The products I've used have been numerous and I've even tried purchasing them at harbor freight for a cheap price. In five days, the Harbor Freight grinder lasted. You cannot believe I am kidding you. Despite heavy use, this grinder still lasts for two years.
Cutting, drilling, and The motor is highly reliable and has good torque. For those who do not need all the power this tool offers, Dewalt also makes a bigger one that is a true monster. My favorite thing about this brand is the tools and the brand.

There is silence in the entire building
5/5

basically only use it for grinding out bad welds when I have used some carbide bits with it. Although it's quite large, the handle right at the tip allows for a surprising amount of control because it's near the tip. Overall, I'm mainly impressed with the remarkable quietness of the unit. Just that alone should be enough to convince you to switch from the air-conditioning The best alternatives to fossil fuels. Here's a tip There is a possibility that a carbide bit can walk or chatter and If you are firm and steady as you remove the materials, you can reduce your chances of that happening. To hold the bit with a second hand, grab it right at the BLACK handle close to.

I sent back the good product, which is of high quality, but is not what I wanted
3/5

As for me, I've been using the 40 dollar harbor freight die grinder, which burns up in about an hour, so despite the fact that this one should be better, it's not worth the $70 I paid for it.

Taking the Dremel on steroids! Industrial sized metal carving! I finally found a die grinder that works after my Makita was a total fail! The hands don't feel too heavy or too solid
5/5

I was most impressed by the mechanics of this device. You will hear the motor running quite quietly once you plug it in and engage the paddle switch. I have yet to find a power tool that doesn't provide a superior set of bearings! You won't want to miss out on this die grinder! Upon purchase of this tool, you will receive two chuck wrenches, as well as the instructions on how to use it. The above is all you need to know. Go is a really easy tool to set up!.

Your Dremel will go to waste
5/5

As a result of using a Dremel to grind metal for an hour and going through a dozen of those overpriced dremel brand aluminum oxide stones, I decided that I needed to purchase In the two months since I bought the Dewalt, I've already put 20 hours on it, and my only regret is that I did not purchase There are a variety of carbide bits available on Amazon, giving you more power than you need. The Dremel I used to have I threw out because of this Dremel.
