Product Description

With Active Feedback-sensing Technology (AFT) and Compact and Slide Switch with Lock-On, the electric brake and feedback sensor combine to make the operator's life easier
It is enabled with Automatic Speed Change technology which automatically adjusts speed and torque during operation to provide the best performance. Its spiral bevel gears enable smoother rotations and a better transfer of work force.
Due to the absence of carbon brushes, the Brushless motor runs cooler, more efficiently, and has a longer life span. It also features a compact and ergonomic design at only 14-1/4 inches in length.
It has a 3-stage L and an efficiency brushless motor that optimizes battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per charge. The gauge shows the charge level of the battery
An integrated L is built into the battery. With the battery charge indicator, the user can determine the level of charge at any given time, and the battery provides up to 65% more run time per charge than the

Questions & Answers

Is there a specific size of battery needed for this tool?

The old 3 should not be included since you should take everything else. Older than 0 and older than Batteries with a capacity of 5 Ah. The battery may still be able to be used if you file a couple plastic tabs off it. An example of a battery with a star would be this. In my experience, this grinder has run best The number of three is 0. There are zero and four. A 0 and a Batteries with a capacity of 0 Ah. The XLT is an excellent tool and a big improvement over my Makita XLT of the first gen

Which version of the xago9z is better? Which version of the xago4z is better?

One of the key differences between the 09 model and the 09 is the blade brake. In my opinion, the extra money is well worth it.

Is the charger where I should be looking?

The charger does not come with it. It is also possible to charge the battery in Makita tools that use the same type of charger.

What are the differences between it and xag04z? Thanks, my friend?

A grinder like this can cut anything. It is a great

Selected User Reviews For Makita XAG09Z 18 Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 4-1/2 Inch / 5 Inch Cut-Off/Angle Grinder, with Electric Brake with Makita BL1850B 18 Volt LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah Battery

A newer Makita tool includes an electric brake and an anti-kickback system
5/5

The Makita angle grinder is the angle grinder to buy if you have already got a Makita product. There appears to be a new brushless model, the XAG09, from their company. In this one, the disc is stopped very quickly by an electric brake when the brake mechanism is turned The antimicrobial properties are also present This feature is known as electronic torque control (kickback). In comparison to the XAG03, which has a substantial amount of reviews here on Amazon, this model is older and does not have those two.

A critical look at the wheel guard Process of changing wheel guards when cutting off & grinding is difficult
4/5

While I enjoy Makita tools, I must say that the wheel guard design on this model leaves a lot to be desired. It would seem that their manual is really bad, since it actually misleads you. When attaching the wheel guard, the first thing I noticed was that there is no locking mechanism or keying mechanism, so the only conclusion is that the wheel guard is only pulled into place by clamp force alone (considering the rotating force and vibration of the tool). In the end, I managed to get a decent installation but I wanted to see what others discovered on YouTube. A user reviews the tool and points out that the two wheel guards included with the tool have to be used separately based on whether you use a cutoff wheel or You should plan on swapping wheel guards taking a very long time! It's a terrible idea to have to fiddle with these tool guards while out in the field in the dark, rain, etc. The last thing I want to do is hunt around for a straight blade screwdriver and fiddle with it. My intentions were not simple in my humble opinion, mounting the grinding wheel guard on the tool while sitting at the kitchen table on a Sunday morning was more than enough. During the design process, safety is an element which requires convenience and speed, otherwise it will lead to problems. It appears that Makita failed in that regard. As I have high expectations, I gave the tool 4 out of 5 stars. I will adjust the rating after use if the tool doesn't perform as I expected (like my other Makita tools). In any case, if rapid wheel guard switching between grinding and cutting wheels is extremely important to you, then this device should still be avoided.

It has a lot of power and is It has a lot of power and is I find it to be a lot lighter than the Stihl power saw that As an employee of a dairy, I often needed to cut rebar, welds, and so on
5/5

My go-to tool was the Stihl power saw. However, it uses gas and is heavy, loud, and uses a lot of energy. I'm in a bind when I only need ONE piece cut. My compact grinder with metal cut off wheel is now in the truck so I can do a variety of things with it. The battery lasts all day and the piece of equipment is very nice.

My husband uses it as a sander and it works great
5/5

We had a lot of trimming around our house to sand. I got this to do that. is an amazing piece of technology! Even using sandpaper on PVC for Halloween decorations I am creating gave me a reason to sand the rough edges. to it is that my older Makita batteries from my old drill won't fit in it, even though it is a Makita. It must have changed since I last reviewed batteries 15 years ago. There is no problem, I'd buy this again if Makita ever went out of business. The experience of which I have not yet had.

Grinder with cordless operation that is excellent
5/5

The cordless Dewalt DWE402 was going to be replaced by this. It's not that there is anything wrong with the Dewalt, it's just that I am really impressed with Makita's 18v brushless power tools, and this grinder is Despite being a battery-powered device, it fits comfortably in the hand and has plenty of power Grinding machine powered by electricity. Taking the Makita's guard on or off isn't much more frustrating than that of the Dewalt, but it's still easier than the Makita's. The electronic brakes on this vehicle are what I like. This one stops in a matter of seconds, as opposed to the Dewalt, which would take about 10 seconds. "I love it!"

This is an excellent It is powered by a good battery that lasts a long time
5/5

As a result, I am very happy with the results. This tool has been used a lot on various projects for cutting, grinding, and polishing metal. It offers excellent power and battery life. The break on the wheel after switching off helps to save time, and it serves as a safety device, too. There is one possible disadvantage to the switch, and that is that it is small and difficult to operate with gloves. It would be better if there was a paddle switch. My right hand is left-handed, which is why I choose tools that are compatible with my hand. It is convenient to locate the switch, but it is not easily accessible.

The thinnest wheels that you can find will make this perform the best
5/5

Because I used to use older, American made Milwaukee 11amp or larger angle grinders, my standards are quite high. The torque is quite a bit less, but the wheel is quite thin, so if you keep the speed up and use thin wheels, you can get decent battery life. There were no batteries, so it would probably last 10 minutes of real cutting time. It got sprayed with water when a user who was rather overly aggressive tried to scratch a water pipe with it, and no harm was done that was.

I recommend it
4/5

In order to cut tiles, I used the tool. The pros are I like it. It works great
Has just enough power and speed
Cons The vacuum adapter is very expensive. I'd recommend getting a bag to keep everything together
I thought it was a bit expensive.
