How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

With its 13-amp motor, the angle grinder can handle heavy work
With a stopping speed of 1, the brake of the DEWALT angle grinder is engaged when the trigger is released. The amount of time it takes to grind a standard wheel (4-1/2-inch x 1/4-inch bonded abrasive wheel, non-hubbed) is 5 seconds
With Kickback Brake, when an event such as pinching, stalling, or binding occurs, the electronic brake hits with maximum force to stop the grinding wheel, reduce the rotational speed of the metal grinder, and shut off the machine.
With the Anti-Rotation E-CLUTCH System, the motor is shut down with in less than a tenth of a second should a pinch/stall be detected.
It is possible to use wheels up to 6 inches wide at 9,000 RPM
Suitable for cutting and grinding applications with a wheel size of up to 6 inches.

Questions & Answers

This machine will work to trim tree branches if I operate it with the Makita ada- The 95037 TCT saw blade is 5-inch A 3/8-inch diameter The size of a 5/8-inch wide Could you recommend a blade similar to a 30t" or inch by 30t"? Do you have any safety concerns?

Was that a suggestion you received from someone or are you the one who came up with it yourself? The cordless GRINDER works great! Do you think that there may be any safety concerns? *br> *br>I imagine you have the means to buy or rent the appropriate tools for the job, since Dewalt 60v is not cheap. Consider a tool from Harbor Freight, which is an inexpensive way of cutting branches, if renting seems unnecessary. If the branches are large, they have an inexpensive chain saw, and if the branches are smaller, they have an inexpensive extendable electric pole saw. If you spare yourself one fall off of a ladder, it will be well

How much does this set cost? Does it come with a carrying ?

You will not receive a carrying case with this product.

Why is a spindle size of 5/8 11 referred to as a "spindle size"? Why don't you explain it to me?

In order to buy the appropriate size wheel, you will need the following information. 5/8 inch diameter shaft, 11 threads per inch. DCG414 has a 5/8 inch diameter shaft.

Does a 7" wheel fit this tool without a shroud or guard? Can a diamond 7" wheel be used with the tool?

DCG414B should not be equipped with wheels 7 inches in diameter. With the DCG414B, you can use wheels of up to 6" for both grinding and cutting

The second time I used it, I fried it! A new update for 4/3/20 is available
3/5

As of April 29, 2019, I have owned this tool for a few days now and I have to admit, this is a beast! It has tons of power and torque and can indeed cut through practically I had to throw it away after using it for the second time because it got Basically, I had to cut 50" x 50" holes in 18ga corrugated steel siding like I was cutting butter with a hot knife. As I moved my lift to a new location, I put the tool down, then picked it back up, and when I pressed the lever, smoke and sparks flew from the mesh area. That was it, the tool was fried. The grinder I was using after two uses died after I dropped it. I have no idea what happened. The problem is that I am unsure how or if I can get it replaced. A new update is available As of 413/2020 My last grinder was taken to the nearest DeWalt store in San Diego (I just found out this afternoon that the store is now closed permanently) and the clerk explained to me what had happened. Another person took care of it, and he just put it in a box and requested another one be sent free of charge to my house! That's pretty cool, I thought! It seems I received a bad one, apparently there was a problem with some of them. now that I've had the new one for just shy of a year and have used it very little, it too has died! Sparks and smoke are the same issue. My plan is to swap this one out as well, so I need to find another Dewalt retailer.

The first time I used it, the flames caught on fire
3/5

I attempted to return the grinder to Amazon but the process has not gone well. I was using the grinder for the first time and during a very light use project it caught fire in my hand. I received a customer service response telling me the seller would contact me, but I didn't hear back from him. Flexvolt tools are the best. I have quite a few from Dewalt. am just looking for someone to help me out and stand behind the product. I will be happy to revise my review if this is a lemon.

I can not get over how awesome this is
5/5

I can not get over how awesome this is. It has lots of power and runs for long periods of time compared to a 20-volt I use it with a 6" cutoff wheel and it is Put both hands on the wheel. The finger is hard to remove from the trigger if you use one hand and the trigger is caught in your clothing. Would you like to know how I know this?.

There is no lag time when you have 2 batteries
5/5

I'm a stone mason by trade. I use this for shaping stones or grinding grout out of stone or bricks. Being able to work from the cab without running cables has been a pleasant experience. Two of the 6 amp batteries I rotate with the charger are 6 amp. Normally I get 2 hours of use from a battery when I use it heavily (for stack tone thin veneer, etc. ). It takes less than 20 minutes for a fast charger to charge a battery completely It's ok if I have 30 minutes to spare. It's awesome that the flex-volt stapler can be configured to take batteries! I hope they do it with the 16 Ga stapler as well!.

The power you have is incredible
5/5

I mean, holy cow! Power is an important word. The first time you get the chance to use a 3M cubitron grinding wheel on this thing, you will Against a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder that is either corded or powered by a battery, there is no comparison. My mind boggles at the power it possesses. Based on the benefits of cordless usage, I believe the price is more than fair. A metal fabricator would have about 5 of these with various wheels on them, and would skip corded altogether except for maybe one 9" for special situations.

Powered by a powerful motor and is a pleasure I really like this tool
5/5

A bunch of old 1s and 2s needed to be removed as part of a demolition project. There was a 5" black steel boiler pipe in my crawlspace that I was not eager to install. Originally, I was going to use a reciprocating saw, but I ended up taking my teeth out doing a couple of cuts, so I needed to find It was a lot more comfortable to use this grinder instead of using a reciprocating saw for this task. Despite carrying a spare battery, I still managed to discharge nearly two 6 ah Flexvolt batteries entirely, even after about 30 cut attempts. Make sure you keep your spare batteries charged if you are doing a big job, I would highly recommend doing so. In spite of this, the battery life is actually not that bad when you consider how deep each cut is. A light-weight tool without an extension cord and being able to move around with no trouble is an appealing combination. For working in cramped crawl spaces, it was ideal. In my opinion, the tool has a pretty good ergonomic design, the weight is To switch from using the right or left hand, you can simply spin the guard around. Most of the time, I was able to avoid pinching the cutoff wheel with my cuts. An anti-theft system is built in There were several instances where the cut pipes resulted in pinches of the wheels while using the kickback brake. In spite of all my efforts, I didn't damage any cutoff wheels during the project. The tool is superb and I don't see how you could go wrong.

I am disappointed
3/5

The Diamabrush deck paint remover finally had time to work on this. In five years, the battery will run out You can use it for 10 minutes. On a 60 V 6 with full charge, I could barely get through 2 deck boards. There is no charge on a Flexvolt battery of 0AH. Sorry to hear that. I have now got to buy a corded grinder to make sure the project is finished.

enjoy using this tool a lot
5/5

enjoy using this tool a lot. I am very happy with it. It is incredible how easy it is to take it out in the field and put it to use. Fast stop is another major benefit, since one does not have to wait for the turn to stop before turning off the motor.
