Questions & Answers

A very cheap glue gun is currently in my possession. It dribbles glue constantly out of the tip while on, no matter what position I put it in. What are the chances of this happening with ?

There is a little dribbling at the beginning of the gun's life, but once it is ready for use, it stops. The on-shoot sight is one of my favorite features of this gun There is no switch to turn it off.

In my current set up, the Hot glue is awesome, but it comes out so quickly that my crafts sometimes end up with massive amounts of glue. How well does the flow control of this gun work?

The glue gun is the first one I have ever used. I had no trouble controlling it at all even though I am not very experienced with glue guns. It was pretty easy to glue a lot of different things together and I did not have any control issues. That's all I have for now.

Is the cord long and does it have the no drip tip like the Surebonder DT-150 Do you have dual temperature capabilities at 280F?

Approximately six feet of cord are required for the power supply. The tip that comes with this device is very basic, and will drip a bit, but there are many options The gun is used by my wife and she has had no issues with

Up to what temperature can this gun be used?

100 watts of heating power, 380 degrees F (193 degrees C), as operating temperature. Having saved the package and instructions, I would like to share this. There WILL be blisters on your fingertips as a result of the glue It's not like small, tiny craft glue guns that can get really hot and hurt, but not the kind that scald your skin.

Taking a look back at 6 years! This cattle is solid, feeds well, and has a good rate of production No, I wouldn't put it in the industrial category
4/5

An update on six years' worth of events The machine is still going strong after being used only for a few large jobs Not bad for a 35-dollar project. I can't complain too much since it was a 2015 project. The cheaper "consumer grade" hot glue guns I've owned have been quite useful in the past. Most people, I am sure, have seen similar guns, so I will also compare this one to them. Compared to the previous model, this is much more sturdy, fits your hand better, and the trigger is larger and provides plenty of leverage in order to squeeze out the glue. There is no drip when it is not being used. Although it appears to be durable, rugged use shouldn't cause it to break. The system is connected to the Internet This lamp is given an on/off switch on the handle, and comes with a wire stand at the end (shown in Even though it isn't the greatest, the wire stand still gets the job done. It takes about the same amount of time to heat up this gun as the cheap ones I've used before (about 3 minutes), but once it heats up it can be used pretty much constantly without requiring you to wait for it to cool. This is the glue gun you need if you are fed up with your broken glue gun, but do not want to use a hot glue gun every day. It is likely that there are better guns for you out there if you hot glue all day every day. This works with many different glue sticks. I have used it with several different glue sticks and it works with each one. My favorites are the flies from the gulf of mexico.

I don't think it can be used for professional purposes
3/5

My job required me to use this item, as the price was very attractive, and I was replacing the heating element on my old 3M TC with quadratack applicator while I was working on it. As I was squeezing the trigger of the Surebonder to glue small parts, the gun started spilling hot glue from the back, rather than the front. The heating element in the Surebonder seems unable to maintain a constant temperature for more than a few minutes. After waiting for the glue to cool, I opened the gun to remove the dried out glue (because I was stuck with it), which is what led to the job getting completed. I had to disassemble it nine times to clean out the spilled glue after using it for three days. It's not practical at all! Then I returned it, and went back to my trusted old work horse.

Well made, and a pleasure to use
5/5

The perfect glue gun for professional use. I have used almost every glue gun I have ever owned before this one, and all of them were the usual small ones that drip when hot and standing. It does not drip at all, and that is only the start of this amazing glue gun. Your whole hand can be used to control the trigger because it has a full grip. There is no way that glue will flow out of the gun when the trigger is released because the pressure on the glue stick is released upon releasing the trigger. This machine gun comes with a built-in wire stand that holds it upright as shown in the images. Unless it drips, it is not dripping when sitting like that. It is very easy to control how much glue is dispensed when using a glue gun. If you put glue where you intended it, it will stick to what you put it on with the amount that you intended.
With a 100 watt motor, this gun produces very hot glue it is not a toy for children. The glue from this weapon will burn your skin. Despite the fact that this might sound like a defect, it is not. When you apply hot glue to whatever component you intend to glue, the last thing you want is for the glue to begin to harden before you get the components It is necessary for the glue to be very hot in order to accomplish that. As a tip, if you are going to glue something big and it is cold, it's going to be difficult to get the project together before the glue sets. Once the project parts are warm, start gluing them. The next step is to remove the protective film from the project You can remove the tip of the gun and exchange it for other tips that are sold separately. It has a plastic casing around it and the tip can be removed. In any case, all three of the tips are very useful and should be sold together. So, it would be nice to find a package deal that included those three extra tips at a discounted price. It comes in three different shapes one flat and wide, one long and long, and another that is round and wider, with the tip cut off There are a few different tips that can be used with the gun, and the tip that comes with it is good for most uses. The broad flat tip might be the best choice for someone working with wood. Plastic is used on the stock tip, which makes it easy to peel glue off. There are three optional tips, which can be aluminum or brass, and a plastic washer which goes between them. This might be to make it easier to remove the tip after using it. I really like the tip. It is made well and is tough. Over all, this is a quality product that fully deserves its five-star rating. It is provided with a 5 foot two conductor electrical cord. This is the last bit of information I wish to share with you regarding The properties of hot glue are very different from one another. It is a hard as nails glue made by Stanley that sticks to just about anything. If you find it, you will have to read the reviews before purchasing This is how costly it is. It is as good as they say, and if you need a strong glue that sticks to everything, you can't go wrong with Stanley GS500BK, it is yellow, and it is the only complaining society has ever heard. It should also be pointed out that not all glue guns can be used with the Stanley GS500BK some glue guns are not even close to 100 watts, so it must use those, or a hotter gun to use the glue, One of the other good glues that this glue gun maker makes is made by Surebonder. This glue is called Best Stick. In spite of the fact that it says it is 40% stronger, the package never compares it to any other glues. I can agree with the package that it acts as a very good glue, and it hardens to a nice Would you like to know why hot glue is This project is designed to find out how soft glue gets at room temperature, and how soft it really gets in One of the last things anyone wants is for their hot glued parts to come apart when they are hot and something puts a little pressure on them. Amazon has two excellent glues that you can purchase. Both are available on the site.

It is the best gun I've ever owned! The glue gun works exceptionally well
5/5

A 100W gun made all the difference after I upgraded from a 30W gun. A hot glue gun gets the glue to the point where it bead up really well and locks into the material. It really seals the joint. It melted the glue at a lower wattage, but I look back now and realize it did not reach the temperature necessary for it to attach properly. By using this gun, the glue is also heated to a thin consistency and is much more readily absorbed into crevases. My favorite gun for semi-automatics is this one Bonds with a permanent duration. I am using it to glue a 3" PVC pipe, and the bond is excellent and holds as well as the PVC glue, but I can also remove the pieces easily if I need to by using a heat gun to soften the glue and then removing the pieces by hand. Also, I use this gun to make electrical boxes, in which I drill the holes slightly oversized, glue in the metal connectors, and remove them in case they need to be removed. With just two piece of PVC pipe and no connector, I glued them together end to end and it will hold up to 20 pounds of pressure. I hate to say it, but this gun is pretty impressive. The little glue guns are awesome for arts and crafts, but if you intend on gluing anything substantial, this is the only way to go.

Measuring the actual product is completely off
3/5

Please find my address at There is a 6Vac draw, pulling a 0Vac. This equates to 25 watts at 20A. 100 watts is the power rating of this device. The glue is 199F at the tip, which is consistent with a 25 watt light. We used a Fluke 376 and a calibrated thermometer from ThermoWorks to measure our temperatures. There will be an Amazon replacement in the future. That will depend on how things go.
