I bought this product a few weeks after I bought it, and it stopped working within a few weeks. This warranty from the Asurion company that on Amazon provided me protection for four years of the product did not work, so when I tried to contact them, they said I should contact Dewalt. My advice is not to buy this warranty, it does not work.
Wow, I completely understand what you mean. I have an auger attached to mine, and on setting #1 I am able to drill through roots, branches, and It would have been better if I'd purchased it sooner.
It's a great hammer drill, I have three of them, and they work really well. A large auger in this drill has plenty of power and can easily bite through studs. Every time (with this particular model we have had for only 4 months), the chuck seizes up leaving no repair options. When it gets stuck, it cannot move forward. I searched for a solution but found only replacing the chuck would fix the problem. You will need to completely disassemble the drill to replace the chuck, including the body, the gear box, and the motor. We're sorry, yet another one-star review for Dewalt My friends, I've been cheated on 3 times and it's time I put an end to it.
Despite owning a Milwaukee One Key hammer drill, I wanted something that had a straight chuck and had In terms of power, the new Dewalt drill does feel like it's more powerful than its predecessors, but only when powered by the Flexvolt battery. As a result, this entire setup weighs over six pounds when used with a battery of this size. I prefer to use a compact and lightweight drill, rather than one that is difficult to hold in one hand for a long time. It is a really great drill, very robust, very economical Although it is well made, it is also oversized and has the led light on the bottom, so even though it is bright it does not work as well as it did if it had been placed Besides being extremely noisy, it's also very loud! A Milwaukee car is much quieter, smaller, has about the same power, and is much quieter. This will be returned. I will get a Milwaukee One Key in the future. As a result, their drills don't take special batteries to work at full capacity, nor do they weigh as much or have the same noisy noise as the Dewalt drills. The chuck wobble issue on this drill must be fixed by Milwaukee, if it is then this drill will be much better.
The work light is very smooth, very powerful, and very bright. From the 996, this is a giant leap.
There's no way to describe how bad this guy is! Tiles cannot be beaten for strength, as I have been installing them for several years now. It has also been used to set about 50 4" tapcons for a porch project. There is a much stronger motor in it than in my rubimix. Stronger than anything I've ever seen! Having said that, only the price of the batteries might be a negative. Flexiblevolt is a bit pricey, but it's worth the investment.
As a construction worker, I manage several construction teams using various cordless tools made by Dewalt. The drill with a 20v max voltage is too small. There are no words to describe how fast, powerful, and awesome this drill is! I forgot to mention that it drills right through them as well. Our reliance on them is a result of the need to meet deadlines on time. You won't ever need to buy another hammer drill after purchasing this Flex Volt drill.
I sent the first one back the first time using it so I had to return it and since getting a new one I have only used it a few times and the battery died, but I was pretty happy with it up until then.
