It is possible to improve the installation method, and that's what we've done. A product like this is obvious when you take it out of the box and deserves a 5 star rating. Do the math and you would pay the same or more if you made it yourself if you have to buy all the parts for it. Usually a piece of plywood is required for the installation for some drill presses, others require a piece of structural steel. Both cases result in the purchaser drilling holes in the MDF material and screwing wood screws through them. When this occurs over time, the material will weaken making it impossible to hold the screws. This is especially true if you remove the drill press table.
