What's in the box, exactly? Is it just the air compressor or do you have any other items?

All you need is a compressor, a cord, and a manual. You'll need a hose and whatever you want to put at the end of it. It's eerily quiet!br> Alan

Amazing! I'm not sure why I've put off getting a good air compressor for so long
5/5

In the past, I've used whatever low-cost air compressor I could find. They were always obnoxious loud, took a long time to build pressure, and just sucked in general. br>br>On the other hand, this thing is fantastic! I've only used it a few times so far, but this thing is miles ahead of anything I've ever owned. It's as quiet as it gets, so you can have a conversation while it's on, and it builds pressure quickly (50 psi in 10 minutes). I was worried about the tank size, but it's perfect for what I use it for (tires, balls, pool floats) because the motor can keep up and maintain psi. I can't speak to the dependability or longevity just yet, but the money has been well spent thus far.

There is a concern about safety
3/5

On my new MAC210Q, the pressure gauge decals were backwards. I was under the impression that I could simply order new decals. Until I contacted Makita for replacement decals, I didn't believe this would be a problem to fix. Ryan at Makita informed me that decals are not available and that safety concerns can only be addressed through vendor returns, not by consumers. I don't want to pay the warranty return shipping costs required by Makita's warranty because Amazon can't guarantee that a replacement unit will be correct. br>Makita has not responded to my concerns about safety. They appear to believe that requiring a customer to return an item to them at the expense of the owner protects them from minor issues, which is a terrible corporate policy.

Change of stars; will work for light-duty tasks such as tire filling
4/5

Excellent customer service. Edited: Not only did Amazon respond to my query about whether this had a limited use, but a manufacturer's representative called and left a message on my cell phone stating that my use was fine; my only complaint is the manual! That is usually because I believe the person who wrote it did not speak English as a first language. The instructions, as well as all of the numerous warnings, were clearly and concisely laid out here. However, they should definitely remove the language that could give us manual users the wrong idea. br>Based on the videos, it's a lot bigger than I expected. On any of the mft, it didn't appear to be very large. or YouTube videos, but it's quite large and cumbersome. I probably should have gone down a size, and I still haven't taken it out of the box because I need the accessories, which are currently being held up in shipping. br>As a result, the review is focused on both the manual and customer service, with the mft. When a sales representative calls you personally, you win a lot of points. It's more of an exception than a rule. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: After 24 hours, I've received two responses, both of which they use for other purposes, such as filling tires. Mft was left a message. I don't like giving 1 star reviews if they aren't appropriate, so I'll give it more time. At the same time, purchasing something for a specific purpose and then receiving a manual that states "limited use" along with all of the Danger warnings makes me hesitant to use it. Original: br>Original: br>Original: br>Original My BMW, which has served me well for the past 16 years, has a flat tire monitor that goes off every time the tires lose a little pressure. I'd been missing having an air compressor for a long time. It seemed like there was always something else I could do with it besides checking and adjusting my tire pressure on a monthly basis, which was its primary purpose. Overall, the small compressors got a bad rap. I researched a lot before deciding on this one. I read the manual carefully because I know air compressors can be dangerous, and it had been a while since I had done so. br>Much to my surprise, the instruction manual states: br>" Never use a compressor for anything other than nailing or stapleing with a properly rated nailer or stapler. The compressor may be damaged or injured if it is used for other purposes. "br> Well, I'm irritated!" Why didn't that come up in the search results? This is a large item that will take a long time to get to you. If it had been "mentioned," I would not have ordered it because it only had specific uses, none of which I require! I've asked a question here and sent one to the manufacturer, but at this point, I believe it's critical that if this has a small number of approved uses, it's in the dag gone listing! So I'm writing a review for the "manual" because if it only has a few uses, I shouldn't find out after buying it in the bloody manual. Is it possible for you to sense my annoyance? Leaving a fact out of a listing description is just as bad as lying about a fact, and it's twice as dangerous. If I'm misinterpreting the manual, I'll edit the review, but with a master's degree and a lifetime of reading complex documents, it seems pretty clear to me. As a result, I've just squandered time and money by having to return it.

It's as quiet as it says on the tin
5/5

Because it's so quiet, I keep it on a shelf at eye level right in front of my workbench, where I spend the most time. I know it's working when it cycles on, but the volume is perfectly acceptable. With my 6-year-old standing beside me, I can converse without raising my voice. I expected it to be "quiet for an air compressor," but it's actually quite quiet for a power tool.

Not in the least bit pleased
3/5

I like how quiet and light it is, and I'm a huge fan of the Makita brand, which I use for all of my tools. However, as soon as I was able to put it to use, I was hooked. It leaked, and after three hours of use, it simply stopped working. And I need it because I'm rebuilding my house after a fire, so I had to go out and buy a Porter Cable tank.

A machine that is extremely quiet, efficient, and portable! It took only one day to reach me, which surprised me
5/5

It was in mint condition when it arrived. br>I'm going to use it to make some wood projects, so I'll need a pneumatic nailer. br>The silence of this air compressor astounded me. I live in a condo, and compared to previous air compressors I've owned, I couldn't believe my ears, and I'm confident that neither can my neighbors. br>At 90 psi, it perfectly powers my nailer, allowing me to sink two nails at a time. With no problem, I can do 5 finish nails. br>It's a Makita machine, and I'm a big fan of their products. Because I'm a senior, it's a little heavy, but it does the job. I was blown away.

Tank filling is very quiet and quick
5/5

This compressor has the appearance of a tank, but it is still very portable. The construction's welds and finish indicate that it is of very high quality. It takes about 30 seconds to go from empty to full and ready to use, and it is much quieter than my old pancake style compressor. It will also keep up with demand when filling the tires on my truck, which is surprising. You don't have to wait for it to fill the tank and then the tire; it will keep up with demand. This Makita compressor has exceeded my expectations.
