Shopvac handles are specifically bought because they have a handle, I do not use the "variable suction ring", in fact, I usually drive a screw through the ring and into the handle to keep it A pair of halves is pressed or snapped together to create the handle. It has several very sharp edges along the underside of the handle where you wrap your fingers around to snap the two halves There is no "plastic dross" on the two halves because they were well-made, but the edges where the tabs snap together have sharp edges. I found out the hard way that they are sharp enough to cut your fingers. There's either going to be a lot of tape or sanding to do on the handle. Use it with a long hose if you want to get the most out of it. To be able to have a handle is an amazing improvement in its own right. In addition to controlling the amount of airflow, this attachment also plays a role in regulating the force that activates the hose. This is an extremely useful part that can make the job of shop vac'ing so much easier (and maybe even fun!).
I have found this adapter very useful when using my shopvac and extensions to vacuum large areas of water. Along the seam of the handle, there is a sharp plastic edge. The edge will be filed down to make it more comfortable to hold in my hand for extended periods of time. As I was vacuuming back and forth over a large area with my shopvac, I kept separating my attachments and this adapter, which were all brand new. There were no rough parts on any of the parts. Because I have connected and disconnected the parts several times, the parts are now grittier and keep their connection fairly.
To go with my rigid shop vacuum, I purchased this attachment. I was able to vacuum the shop floor more easily as a result of this. It did not kink as it would have if the hose and extension had been connected together. A handle is attached to the attachment as well. This change alone made everything so much better, but there is also an air intake adjustment included If you don't need a lot of suction, this is a good solution. The price was well worth it.
I was able to fit it on my Ridgid Shop-Vac It is vac. When you have your extension wands and the foot-controls in place, you are nearly ready. This wide sweeper provides me with a relatively easy way of vacuuming up all the sawdust and debris that finds its way to my shop floor. This should have come with the vacuum the first time around.

My shop vac used to have a big hose that was so difficult to handle that I avoided using it. This is no longer true! You can do it in no time with this handle! A big hose allows us to use less water, and there's less chance of debris getting stuck in it. This would have been helpful if I had run across it earlier!.
