Or, if you are like me and sometimes the bigger wood chips get caught in the impeller of the dust collector and you have to take the hose off. The only thing that would make these 5 stars is if they had a little more spring in them. Nevertheless, I have a small 1HP portable dust collector mounted on top of a table and the inlet hose hangs off of it and after a while (a very long time), the vibrations combined with it pulling down causes the hose to wiggle off. Having three sets of them is not unusual for me. So that I can take them off if needed, I placed them on my stationary dust collector as well as the dedicated hoses.

These hold securely, I will even buy more if I need them in the future. As a result of the easy use of these items, the extra cost of these items over hose clamps is easily made up in the grand scheme of dust collection.

This can be done very quickly and easily if you have 4 inch dust collector hoses.

Although this clamp is a good idea in theory, its holding power is completely absent, and the hoses come right off their attachments just as if it were not installed at all. As an alternative to these clamps, you can find better ones.

It will save a lot of time to get these clamps if you need to remove your hose frequently to clean it. Not quite as tight as those with thumbscrews, but they will do.
