To attach a wire-wound shop vacuum hose to these clamps, I bought them. As I tried to compress the wire enough to grip the fitting, I ripped a couple of standard hose clamps. A 2 would have been good for me So I tried these wire clamps because they would go between the wires in the wall of the hose. It was done just that way.
He arrived in a timely manner. They are very sturdy clamps and it is nice that they can be tightened with a wrench or socket.
We use our 2" flex hoses for woodworking and our rigid orbital sanders and planer collectors from DeWalt. I love how easy it was to install, and how it fits perfectly. Those of the wire style are easier to install than those of the band type.
I have not found another so sturdy
