Questions & Answers
A clamp in the form of an ear is unfamiliar to me
The cable end cap should replace the factory installed end cap and must be used in order to shorten the cable length. Locking it open has nothing to do with that.
This product was used on the hoses and radiators of my GM Cruze. They are held in place by hose clamps that are always in tension. Try a Google search for constant tension clamps if they look like your clamps then it should When used with a clamp plier, you can also use a vise grip or channel lock, but if it is in a limited space, you will need to use this tool.
On the back of the package, you will find the information. Despite its low price, it's high quality.

Having squeezed just the right amount, I would get the clamp opened just right, and someone else would slide it into place. Ideally, the teeth that hold it closed would need to be smaller or more closely spaced in order for it to be useful to 1 person. I noticed that most of the time, when I locked it, it didn't stay open very long. Once I got to the next tooth, it would open so much that the clamp would lock itself, so it became nearly impossible In spite of that, it appears to be well designed for domestic It would not have been possible for me to do the job In some cases, my regular hose clamp pliers will not fit where the clamps are located on older vehicles.
In order to squeeze the clamps together with the beefier ones, you need two hands. As a result, the clamp was unable to lock at full open position due to the design of the locking mechanism that was not fine enough. A 70 tooth ratchet would be superior to a 90 tooth ratchet for this application. To remove the lower hose from the Barb, I still stuck a pair of Cobra water pump pliers into the lower hose. I put a lot of brute force on them and they didn't deform even when I stretched them out. This would have been a 5 star review had the teeth looked a bit better or it had more of a stylish design.
There is an engine perpendicular to the hose directly above it that you cannot see. I must admit that it was a tedious task and it took me a considerable amount of time, but I would not have succeeded without this tool. There is no way to access the clamp with a conventional pair of hose-end tools As well as the clamps in the outboard hoses, where they connect to the cooler, they are difficult to install. It's obvious that the clamps are in place, but, again, conventional pliers could not reach them. I have never found a tool that has given me such a high return on investment.
They are cheaper than brand name and I figured I would give it a go since they're far cheaper than the name brand ones. It has been 3 months since I started using them, so far I am very happy with them. My favorite part of this pack is that it includes a replacement cable end, because the cable ends break on every brand I have Shipping takes a short time. However, I'm very happy with how things are going.
A plier like this will make it easier for me to handle the constant pressure clamps on my cars than a common tool. A plier could not be used to grasp the clamps because they were mounted with the "handle" part in hard to reach places. Using this kind of pliers, you are able to "grab" the clamp in these hard-to-reach places It was possible to replace the upper, lower, and water hose clamps in a more convenient location. The clamps had to be opened with two hands, but it was much easier to close them with one hand, and the pliers handled this force well. As far as I'm concerned, this plier didn't fail during the harsh conditions under which I used it.
It has been a challenge for me to deal with spring clamps for years like many of you. The ones that you can easily see and reach can be dealt with easily with channel locks or similar devices, but how about those that are hard to reach? My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. Even though I am still capable of easily clamping with a pair of pliers or whatever I have nearby, this tool is worth its weight in gold for others.
In order to replace a hose, I had to get on the clamp, which was tight. This tool made it easier due to its constant pressure holding on to the clamp so I could wiggle it much easier. The clamps could now be used without the frustration of having to use slip joint pliers. As a consequence, the shop replaced the original clamps with screw-tighten ones, and those clamps allowed a little.
This was given to me due to an issue with my coolant system. Despite having the Ares flexible hose clamp pliers work, I was unable to close the clamp tight enough without getting tension clamps. The tensioner is very stiff and not very extensible. Although there was nothing wrong with the clamps themselves, I had trouble getting them in some of the locations I needed them. It is definitely better than channel locks and conventional pliers, but have in mind that it won't be as much of a hassle It may be better to go for a more expensive model.
