The handle's base spins to allow you to exert more force on the screw. Normally, you can apply enough pressure to larger screwdrivers and screws using your entire handgrip. However, with such small screws, this is more difficult. Instead, this design allows you to use one hand to push down on the top of the screwdriver while turning the screwdriver with the other. If the base didn't spin, you wouldn't be able to do it as easily.

The handles on most electronic screwdriver sets are far too thin for my large guerrilla hands to handle. I was initially hesitant to purchase the set because I have a number of sets that have all disappointed me in some way over the years. So I took a chance and bought this because it has a thick handle and I expected the bits to be made of clay, which appears to be the norm, and I already have a lot of nice bits. I've used it a handful of times so far. The set as a whole has left me impressed. The pieces are excellent. The handle is a nice, comfortable size, with enough reach to get into tight places thanks to the length of the bits and the extension built into the handle. My only concern is where do you get replacement bits if and when they wear out. They're the only ones I've seen so far. So, if you're like me and have large hands, this set is for you. It's a good investment.
I had previously used some worn-out, cheap hand-me-downs, and I was immediately impressed with the Nanch heads and handle's quality. As a hobbyist, I purchased the set of 23 heads, which I believe will suffice for the majority of regular people/light repairers. It has already met all of my requirements for dismantling two old laptops (an HP and an Acer) in order to replace a battery, a screen, and add memory. br>br>The heads are made of solid metal and fit snugly into the handle, which has a satisfying weight to it. I think the head is held in place by a light magnetic hold. The handle is soft to the touch and has a good textured surface for a secure grip. The tool's back end even swivels, allowing you to use one hand to hold it in place while using the other to tighten or loosen a fastener. My only reservation is that the case that holds the 23 bits and handle is made entirely of plastic, and I can see it breaking long before the tool heads and handle. br>br>Overall, these tools are far superior to some of the less expensive alternatives. I believe the slight price premium over the budget options is well worth it.
Mine didn't have a magnet on them. The handle, on the other hand, is the most vexing. The handle extends to a reasonable length with a quick, firm pull, but mine will not retract to the size required to fit in the case. I assumed there was some sort of ruse involved. Turn this way and that way. Perhaps there is, but I'm having trouble figuring it out. It would have been nice if there had been some sort of instruction sheet, but I'm afraid I'll have to return it in this case.
lol. But ever since I got it, I've been reaching for it all the time because it's so handy. And I haven't yet discovered that it lacks the attachment I require. A large number of different screw head types are available. Shaft that can be extended. It tightens up. This is a very nice case. br>I'd buy a new one the next day. This is an attractive collection. The quality appears to be very good, unlike many other items in this price range. I can't speak to the strength of the metal used in the bits just yet, but the machining appears to be excellent.
