Aluminum is what it is. As for the 60 grit, I am not sure if it is carbide or oxide. The 100 grit is carbide I am not sure about the 100 If you have tile cutting projects that require more complex techniques, this cutting kit will help.

It did not come with a plastic cover to cover the dressing stone as shown in the picture. EDITOR'S NOTE After speaking with the customer service representative the next day, another kit was shipped to me. It was the same story with the second kit first kit did not have plastic dressing stone covers. In fact, the bottom side of the kit is covered by a large plastic cover. The dressing stone can be inserted into this plastic piece to keep it protected, however, it is not in its ordinary location on the front of the kit with the other items. **Edit #2** I chatted with customer service again about receiving two brand new kits and none of them included the dressing stone cover. With the return of the kit I did not use and the reimbursement of the cover missing from the kit I intend on keeping, I'm returning the unneeded kit. There will be an investigation for 48 hours, and I hope they can update the picture so that it does not include the cover or change the description to make clear that you will not be receiving the product shown in the picture. As a result of the excellent service I received from Amazon customer service, I added a star to my review. I received another kit to try and fix the issue and was compensated If I have anything more to add, I will update again.
Whenever I have used tiles larger than 12 x 12, the 45 degree guide could be two to three times as big as a straight stop so that there is a longer support edge.

In this easy-to-transport package you will find all the tools necessary for a tile saw. My guilds are all there now, and it's easy to find one that's been left behind. I no longer need to look for the last guild I need, they are all there and I understand why it happened. Oh, and all guides work well (tighten and release) without the need for any additional tools.
As a result of your help, my cuts are now much cleaner and professional (no more 47*48° cuts). Would've been a good idea to get it when the saw arrived.
