This stone enhancer would be useful for two things They both are intended for indoor use. Water applied to the newly installed tumble stone in bathrooms brought out its vibrant colors, but as the stone dried, the colors faded away. When the stone was painted (and wiped) with StoneTech's Enhancer, the dull surface finish was replaced by the rich natural colors of the stone, and they remain vibrant to this day. In the second application, we have a 50 year old stone fireplace and a wood floor. It was 20 feet wide and 20 feet high (most of the soot was removed during sandblasting). As much of an improvement was seen with the dark grout as with the lighter Seeing it up close made the light colors of the fireplace stone appear darker (and brighter). As far as coverage is concerned, the two gallons I used lasted for two applications in 14 showers (I run a small motel) and the fireplace at my motel. The StoneTech Enhancer protects the stone as well however, I follow up with Bulletproof Sealer to ensure no shampoo or other liquid is accidentally spilled on the stone. Even though it takes some elbow grease to apply and wipe down the stone, the dramatic effects are worth the effort.
The price is high(er than others), but this sealer is worth the cost. I used some of my local store's 30$ a gallon sealing solution once before using this one. I can only say WOW, the DuPont people must have put some kind of magic into this stuff, because there is such a difference between it and the cheap junk. Because of the much higher price, I was initially hesitant, but I can now say that the purchase was well worth the money. As a side benefit, this will almost change the slate's color to one of a wet tile, which is exactly what we were looking for. Neither the cheaper brand nor my previous brand resulted in any color improvement.
The stuff in this video is amazing. It's easy to apply and most of the time it dries within a few hours. I did a test on bare concrete after we finished our stone and rainfall soaked it up the next day. Since water had soaked into the untreated concrete after a couple of hours, it was still wet. It took less than an hour for the treated concrete to dry completely. The price was high, but it was well worth it.
Gives my all natural stone fireplace a fresh look! I love how easy it is to paint on it! Initially a little runny, so you might need to be aware it will drip like WATER, but it will dry very quickly. By the end, it was second nature to me!.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone - it's great, easy to use, and it makes my travertine stone look so much better - I loved it. The experience will be pleasant for you.
This product worked well on the granite countertop and in the shower, but left a strange smell in the bath. I would recommend it as a whole.
