These items were used to replace the OEM fence on a Jet shaper that I own. I bought a left-handed left-handed left-handed left-handed left-handed (71489) and right- (71489) are two terms that can be used interchangeably. 71488, as well as the Power Tech 71367 flip stops on the left. After fitting and zeroing these, the end result was exactly what I had hoped for: precision, repeatability, and a well-built product.
I needed a fence for a drill press table, and this fit the bill. Because this was exactly what I needed. Due to likely insufficient packaging, it arrived severely damaged, as shown in the photos. I was going to have to cut it shorter anyway due to the table's width, so trying to return for a replacement is far more trouble than it's worth. I'll have to spend some time deburring all of the nicks. Based on the condition received, I'm giving it two stars.
The actual product is fantastic. Very strong and straight. It would have been a perfect five stars if the product had not arrived damaged. It's a little disappointing, but nothing a little sanding can't fix.
I love the product, but the packers are terrible. These are for a router table fence I'm building, and instead of the two tracks I ordered being stretch wrapped together, they were just in a long box with one piece of brown paper? Is this for real? Two small dings, one in each of them, thankfully not in the faces and fortunately not bent out of true. They are, however, extremely nice and heavy, which is exactly what I was looking for.
Except for the thin aluminum face, which was warped and impossible to square with anything, the fence that came with my table saw was excellent. After seeing a suggestion on a woodworking forum, I decided to replace it with this rail. Installation was simple, and I had my fence squared to the blade and the table top in a matter of minutes, and my work has never been more precise. The rail is beautifully flat and straight, and the channels allow a variety of jigs and guides to be used. This is something I wish I had known about a year ago.
If it weren't for a minor blemish, a bump in the product, and minor scratches on the surface, I would have given this a five-star rating. Overall, if you're looking for a good fence option for a cutoff sled, this is a great option unless you get one with issues like I did, which I'll be returning for a replacement.
Powertec's dust collector fittings were the first to impress me, and the line has since grown even further. This is my second dust collection system in the shop, and I only use Powertec fittings and hose. My application is ideal for the multi track brackets. This set of brackets and knobs will be ideal for adding an adjustable fence to my miter station. Powertec is now my first stop on Amazon or their website for any of my shop hardware and equipment accessories.
This was purchased to be used in the construction of a table saw crosscut sled. It helped to make the back support more rigid and straight, as well as allowing me to quickly attach a stop-watch. block. For the most part, I haven't needed the measurement lines, but they are still useful as a reference when making minor adjustments to the stop block.
