I'm not sure I fully comprehend what you're requesting. Instead of making a box, I used the Trak to make a miter saw extension wing. Of course, the extension wing could be regarded as a two-seater. One side of the box is down, while the other serves as a fence. Each piece of aluminum rail is 24 inches long, an inch wide, and about an inch tall. The kit's instructions stated that the "fence" should be cut exactly 2-inches tall. 1/4 inch tall. The stops would be at the proper height on the wing and against the fence in this manner. br>Did this provide you with an answer to your query?
I have mine set up on permanent saw wings, and depending on moisture conditions, I can still tell a difference of 1/32" between the two 8' wings and the Delta 10" Slider Fence and the wing backstops. Because of the additional flexing, I believe foldable would be even worse. The 2x4 backstops on the wings, as well as the base supports attached to the cabinet base, are all secured with Kreg pocket screws every 12".

Assume you're constructing a deck (or anything else that necessitates multiple cuts of the same size). You get your hands on a boardbr>2. To get the desired measurement, pull the measuring tape as far as you can.

So it's not really worth the money for what you get, whether it's due to design or poor quality control. Normally, I am a big fan of Kreg's stuff. When I'm down at the shop, I use them almost every time. br>However, this product falls short of the Kreg name.

As expected from Kreg, the design is excellent. It was well worth the money. I first considered making something similar out of separate parts and pieces from other vendors, but it didn't turn out as well as this Kreg system. The only gripe I have is that the L- On the backside of the shaped stop is a screw clamp with a metal swivel foot that can gouge the anodized rail finish if tightened. As a result, I covered it with a small plastic cap (cut from a pen cap).
This helped me make a miter saw fence and stop system. It works well to produce quick, repeatable cuts on the miter saw, so it's a good product; however, after using it in my shop for a while, I've discovered that it has some inherent flaws when compared to some alternatives (for a miter saw). Because this system is installed on top of a long fence, you'll need to design your miter station counter and cabinets around it. It's not a big deal if you plan ahead, but it did necessitate the removal and modification of some storage cabinets that were previously on the counter. The solid production stop's design, which necessitates several inches of clearance on the back of the fence to operate the star knob, plays a big role in this. Alternative designs, such as embedding a t track in a counter with a simple stop that rides along, would take up significantly less space and be less expensive to install. The main disadvantage of that design over this one is that the embedded track will eventually fill with debris and require vacuuming, and the lack of a fence will require you to be extra careful when registering your work piece against your miter saw's smaller integral fence. If you're only building small items, the fence issue may not be an issue, but I installed it right before cutting a bunch of panels for large built-in bookcases, and it worked out well. If you want to build the "ultimate deluxe" miter station, I think this fence system is the way to go. The simple imbedded t track design is a good choice if you want to build a good miter station without having to build a large cabinet system entirely around it.
It's ideal for just about any saw workstation you can imagine. Designed for use with a miter saw, but it can also be used to make a sled or any other jig. The "instructions" specify the height at which the guide should be positioned, and the kit can be used to make a variety of sizes or multiple jigs if necessary. I used a miter saw to cut a four-foot section and saved the remainder for a table saw sled.
It's a good system, but it has some flaws. The stopper on the flip is a shambles. There is movement with even a small force against it, as others have pointed out. Thankfully, it isn't required. Furthermore, both measuring tapes that come with the package are accurate. left - That's the impression I got, at least. I had to pay extra to get a left-handed version. For use on the right side of the blade, use the right tape.
This has been a lifesaver for me and has made a significant difference in my business. The flip- Unless you really take care of it, the up stop is flimsy and inaccurate - I'm not a big fan of it. However, the larger stop is so good that I continue to give the system 5 stars. It's now simple to move the stop 1/64th or less, even if the tape is in 1/32nds, rather than snooping on a cut by trial and error. The marks are small but precise - You have a lot of control over your cuts.
