Where does everything come from?
When it's clean, it's a neoprene-like substance that's "grippy," but when it's coated with sawdust and dirt, it's not so much, so wipe it off every now and then.
The foam is approximately 3/16 thick and I can compress it approximately 50% with my finger. The foam is undetectably compressed when you press down on the entire pad.

I was routing on my router table when one of the long push sticks collided with the bit while pushing the wood through it, shattering a corner. It wasn't my hand or finger, which was fortunate. It frightened me, and I realized the router's power. The push sticks have a nice backing that grips the wood firmly as it is pushed through the router.
The push STICKS for table saws are flimsy and bend easily under normal pressure. Because of their flexion, they are unreliable and potentially dangerous to use.
I decided it was past time for me to make a small investment in my own security. When these arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how high-quality they were. They're high-quality pieces, especially for the price! $16 isn't a lot of money, and this set includes everything you'll need.
I bought it to aid in table saw cuts. I've had no problems using them for rip and cross cuts. 2x4s, 1x4s, 1/4" luan, and 3/4" maple plywood have all been used. br>br>I won't say they're perfect, but if you think any push block is, keep a first-aid kit and a phone nearby. br>br>They've gripped well and provided very positive control, especially on a few smaller cuts that required a lot of attention to stay clear of the blade. The variety of blocks available is suitable for a wide range of applications. br>br>Before making any cut, do a dry run to check your control and movement, then turn on the saw.
This set was ideal, the price was reasonable, and the reviews were glowing; however, the reality is as follows: It's worth it if it keeps my fingers out of the way of a saw blade. In this case, I won't be as upset as I would be if I chewed up any of these parts for $80. Gripper, which costs $100. This set covers all of the scenarios I'm likely to face, so it's very versatile. I'll also admit that seeing pictures of the reviewer who cut his finger and whack his eye motivated me. This set was purchased the very same day!.
When I use my table saw, I've been using a piece of thin cutoff scrap with a notch cut in the end, but it seems like everyone I've seen using plastic push blocks and push sticks like these. I can see a significant difference now that I've finally purchased them, and I'm glad I did. For the time being, I only needed the push sticks, but those blocks will be useful once I get my jointer up and running. This was an excellent purchase.
Before beginning a woodworking project with power tools, I give my Grandsons a pinkie. It saves me the trouble of having to make my own. These are high-quality safety products. "Use me, save your fingers," says the bright orange color. After a couple of years without one, I recently purchased a new table saw. I placed an order for this safety equipment right away. I had them in my hands (all ten fingers present!) thanks to Amazon. ) within 24 hours, and the product is fantastic!.
