A pair of these sanding sticks were helpful in sanding wooden scroll saw projects. It is possible to take off burrs on light gauge stainless steel with these tools. The grit should be coarse at first, and then become finer. In my opinion.
Certainly, Amazon sells replacement belts, but they can be quite expensive depending on how much they are used. Perhaps a package of new sanding sticks with a variety of replacement belts would be a better deal

As part of my renovation, I will restore The work involved a great deal of sanding and stripping. They work well in tightly confined spaces such as window frames, etc. I especially like them when correcting or removing sand moulding This is the I'm wrong - A groove on the inside corner indicates direction. Putty knives can be wrapped with sand paper for more effective use It might be because the design provides a good amount of force per square inch They last for a very long time because you can advance them a little at a time so you always have new The fresh abrasive can be used until the last drop is left. Then they can be thrown Are there no more bags of partially used clothing left (are they ready to be disposed of Sandpaper rolls. A great dilemma in life is when should we throw away the old sandpaper in favor of new buffed paper?.
I could tell they were plastic from looking at them online, and they appeared to be quite Despite the fair price, I did not consider the price extremely low and, considering the appearance of flimsy plastic, I was a bit concerned I would not be satisfied when I arrived. Even though I ordered them, I wanted to do some small model detail sanding with them anyway. As soon as they were opened, I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy they are and how As soon as the tool is used, I'm even more impressed with how well it fits my hand, and how it's easy to change the sandpaper strips around quickly during use to always present a fresh work surface. I appreciate this feature very much. I think this spring load is excellent. This tool is very useful, and it has been clearly designed and engineered for the end I am impressed with the quality and the ease of use. I highly recommend this book.
I think this is a good idea. The detail sanders that I have now are better than what I could have made, and ones I could have made in the past. A good idea has been ruined by a poor product design. Sanding sticks have ridges on the tip that scratch the delicate areas you're sanding. Yup -- That's what they do--you make the delicate areas scratchy. My mind couldn't make sense of it.
In my spare time, I restore old tools for extra The metal stamps of old tools that are rusted often have small stamps engraved into it. I ordered this, hoping it would please me, then I was let down in a little way. I needed something that could easily be used in these small places and sand. It has the problem that the sandpaper falls off the track of the tool all the time, and the sandpaper does not last very long. I would probably find this product more effective if I were using it on plastic or wood surfaces. This product is not strong enough to hold up on metal for only a little bit of In order to use it on metal, you will need to use a lot of sandpaper and be prepared to get frustrated when the paper breaks and slides off the tracks. Using this is my preferred choice because there aren't many other options available for what I need, but I am hopeful for the day when a more robust design and paper becomes available.
like to build model ships for a hobby and these sanding sticks are superb. Designed to fit neatly into tight spaces and primarily for use with wooden models of any kind, they're ideal for fitting in small spaces. Each one is colored so you can easily tell which one is which and which grit the one is. One of the best features is that the sandpaper strip at the working end can be shifted as the area wears out. Sandpaper is loaded) and adjust it to bring a new section to the work Each grit had an ample supply of extra strips. Is it because I did not have one of these when I first started this hobby 50 Please refer to the following link for more information.
It is ideal for removing spot rust, painting in those pesky rust patches that occur after rocks hit the hood of your car. You will stop buying those fiber glass pens once you see these. Using the 180 for the top layers of rust and the 240 for the bottom coats, I was able to make a nice smooth surface to paint. Because I'm not a professional, I don't care how it looks after I paint it, as long as there's no rust left. Here's a tip By sliding the paper on the holder slowly, you will be able to advance the band of sand paper. Make sure you don't remove the band and move it into.
My previous method of using sanding blocks or folding sandpaper in half was before I received this product. The product was right on time for my situation and proved to be an ideal one. At one end, the tool allows you to get into tightly confined flat spaces. You can use the tool to access areas that are concave on the other end. There is a huge array of belts that can be used, each with a different grit. In the case that you sand sideways or apply too much pressure, you might encounter the biggest frustration as the belt will come off. In the future, they should design it such that the belt does not come off the tool.
Sanding sticks are used to reach areas and corners that are difficult to reach when building plastic scale models. A standard ink pen would be about the right size The size of the image is 25" x 20". in the hand. They help provide a great deal of precision and control because of their stable design. Springs are used to hold the sticks Keeping the sanding belts in place with tension when the pack is loaded. Using the sticks at the top of the stick, you can rotate the belts forward or switch them. A total of 20 belts were included in There is another brand of sander I also use (Excel Hobby) and the belts on those sticks are interchangeable. Such sanding sticks should be used only when precision sanding is required. In general, heavy sanding may be possible with them, but the belt would need to be rotated frequently.
