In fact, the black base disc is already In retrospect, I would have just bought another router of the same model if I had to do it over again. It's handy to have two motors that have different bits, even with only one base, especially in a router table.

PORTER-types are the most common A locking lever is present on CABLE 1001.

Would this work on a PCable 5372 router or would this need to replace a base from a 5371 router?

Those are the numbers I believe, but I don't know their exact amounts. I was able to use it with my router from 1973, and the clamp is much better than what I had before.

The table looks great on a router table

For mounting permanently on a new router tablet hat that I built just now, I ordered this and it works well. One thing I didn't like about the spring closure was that I needed to tighten the nut on it. Using it on the router table caused the motor of the router to lower a little bit because it was a little loose out of the box. I was able to solve the problem, however, after tightening up the spring closure.

There are handles and a These handles do not fit in the older Porter cable boxes without modification since they are a different shape from the older style

If the depth setting is already established, I prefer to use a wingnut instead of a clasp to secure it. Due to my fault, I used these items in place of the ones I broke from my old base.

Back in the day, I liked the one that came with my router. The router table can be disassembled easily every time I want to use the router free-hand. With this one, I have no problems.

Base that needs to be spared

The blank made it possible for me to have a fixed base mounted to my router table and still operate the router freehand while doing so. Wish they had one.
