It doesn't appear to be a problem with the manufacturer. You may use any router bit manufactured by any manufacturer in your Sears, Ryobi, etc. router (that's why the insides of the collets are industry standards). You should be able to handle these without any problems.
There should be no problem fitting most routers it's universal (fits my Ryobi and my Makita routers, but I'm not certain.
I am not sure if it will work with the Ryobi heavy duty router, model
It is precisely for that purpose I used this. I wanted to use smaller shanked bits because the collet on my router was too large. There are actually 3 of these types of collets for all sizes of router bits that I have found.

The only issue I have with this type of adapter is the low battery life. I have no problems with these adapters. As a result, I no longer have to limit myself to using less powerful, smaller routers to use my 1/4in shank bits. I also have a secondhand Harbor Freight plunge router and can now drive my larger collection of bits. There is no runout at all and it is plenty tight to hold bits in place safely. One end of the adapter has a small lip that prevents it from sliding off Basically, I only have one problem with it. Once the adapter is mounted, it's tight enough that it can be pretty hard to lift it back out of the collet, but that's to be expected when something is machined to such close.
2 out of 3 Assuming that the first case would have trouble by now, I bought another bag, figuring that the first one would break by now - but it hasn't -.
It was only natural for me to get these with my Ryobi router with a half inch collet to put 1/4 inch spiral shaft router bits in it. A shaft of the smaller diameter does fit in the router and can be used. There is a need to extend the shaft of the bit all the way into the hole. After I tried to use it with the shaft half in, the tightening did not work. So you can't adjust depth all the way in. It's fine to go all the way in. As long as the depth can be adjusted in other ways, it is not a major issue.
Since I lost my Kobalt adapter thing for my 14 shank insert, I bought this hoping it would fit because it has a lip just like the Kobalt adapter had. My second one fits perfectly! Now I have two spares in case I lose the first.
There was an old router with a quarter-inch collet that had a bad half-inch collet on it. I found that these collet replacements work great and are much cheaper than what I found on the internet.
I picked it up when I was shopping for a router table that was missing a Instead of the original, this was an ideal replacement. is tapered inside the adapter, so if you drop the bit that you are using all the way through, you may need to use some creativity to remove it. However, that's my only complaint at the moment. I have used it for several months without issues and have not had any slips or injuries.
It has a perfect center and works well with my Ryobi larger format router with smaller diameter shafts.
The 1/4 collet adapters are a must have when changing from a 1/2 collet to a 1/4 collet. These are.
