The washer's not working, just the oil pump There is a collet for the ring and for the coupling. Remove the old operating system and then install the new one Before inserting the new o-ring (with a small screwdriver in the supply tube where the collet sat), let the old one go first It is necessary to push the collet on the ring. I needed this part to connect a Kohler supplied hose from the faucet spray head to the fitting under the A poor design by Kohler caused damage to the original part while being removed by the plumber. In most cases, faucet manufacturers use clips made of plastic or nylon so the DIY installation is easy. In the reinstallation process, the plumber had some difficulty determining what place to use for the "O" ring The documentation included with the part (or shown in Kohler YouTube videos meant for professionals or DIYers) was insufficient to install. I found it to be easy to use once it had been installed. Depending on the state of the part when removed, you may need an additional hose in order to qualify for the free replacement provided by Kohler as part of their lifetime guarantee. We do not include this part with our hoses unless you specifically request Despite the fact that the hose is free, there will be a charge for this part.
The hose connection on my Kohler faucet works perfectly with this replacement part. Despite being inexpensive, it is crucial to the use of the faucet since it cannot be used without it. The only thing I can complain about is the original working was broken This part is not the most durable design, but if it is what you have on your faucet, it will get you back up and running.
It helped to spray vinegar in it but ultimately you had to take the faucet out and disconnect it. If the collet connector is taller than 2 inches, then you have to take the sink out. Calcium builds up in the body when the child is 3 years old and the water is hard. The faucet needed to be cut off and vinegar sprayer was used to remove it until I could get the connecter out. After that, they were able to come apart. All that trouble was worth it though, as the replacement part worked perfectly. I give it a thumbs.
The 'O' ring is never explained how to use it! The first time I used it, I had a huge splash underneath my sink because I put it between the part and the plug. It was my responsibility to return the product and request my money back under most circumstances, unless I had extra O rings. The search of O rings was not productive at all after more than an hour of googling I only found how to use them at a parts seller's website which meant that the O rings would go INSIDE the part, not between the pipes. Don't let anything go wrong!.
A defective collet was stuck on the part and that was unable to be removed, even though the part was OEM quality. A Kohler spokesman said the collet for the hose was a design and the new hose connection design was used in place of the entire faucet.
Here is a way to fix a faucet main extension hose that has fallen out. It is simply not true that you need 3/8", so don't believe ignorant posters who say you need that. By installing this part, you will repair your faucet for a fraction of the cost.
The old replacement hose crumbled when I removed it, so I'm glad I ordered this part. This part does not come with the new replacement hose.
I was able to install this on my Kohler sink with no issues. Breakage was caused by the initial separating and popping off. An easy fix for a quick problem.
