Those two routers have never been swapped out for me. I've done it before with other routers, and I believe they're fairly common, but I can't say for sure.

I can't say for certain, but I believe it is very likely. It isn't a "self-contained" situation. I'm not sure if Bosch would change the threads on the shaft that the collet chuck fits on from one model to the next, but I can't imagine they would. HTH
The nut and collet are shown here. When I broke the collet that came with my Bosch plam router, it worked perfectly. If (when?) one of the two fails, the set of two guarantees a replacement. ) I clench my fists once more.

When it comes to purchasing expensive items, the old adage "buy once, cry once" is commonly used. Unfortunately, this does not always apply when purchasing maintenance items or small parts like these. This was also the case when I purchased this two-pack. br>br>After deciding not to spend nearly the same amount on a single collet and instead opting for this two-pack, I've realized that I was mistaken in thinking this deal wasn't too good to be true. The replacement chuck/collet are smaller than the original, as shown in the photo, and while the chuck is a "direct fit" (I. The collets that come with the chucks, however, do not thread on. They're not only smaller, but they're also thinner and have a sloppy fit on the chuck. br>I bring this up because, once installed, the chucks quickly bottom out, and the collets will not tighten or hold a router bit at all. br>br>I cannot recommend this two-pack in good faith and would strongly advise purchasing the direct factory replacement found on the Bosch Amazon store.
This is a perfect match for my Bosch Colt PR20EVS router. I couldn't believe Bosch shipped a router with a collet that was too small, but that's exactly what happened. I decided to google the problem after my router slung a bit across my shop twice. Collet should be moved to the top of the list. This part ensures that a 1/4" shank bit is properly seated and tightened.
I was hesitant to order this because of the negative feedback, but I shouldn't have been. Genuine BOSCH OE product that works as well as it did when new.
My new Bosch Colt's collet broke while installing the first bit (bad casting?). I was relieved to discover this substitute because most stores require special orders. According to other reviews, having a spare collet for the Colt is a good idea in case one breaks.
My Boush router's chuck was damaged. I was delighted to discover these for such a low price and with such a good fit.
For my Bosch Palm router, this is the ideal replacement collet. I also have a backup in case I need it!.
