Questions & Answers

Is this set compatible with the 7300 model?

Six of the eight pieces are correct. The 7300, MiniMite, Stylus, and 400XPR were not compatible with 2 because it had a slightly larger outside diameter. 800 The 6 that fit provided me with a full range of inside diameter sizes as well as a few spares.

Is it compatible with a 1/16 drill bit?

Yes, one sixteenth of an inch equals one inch. 59mmbr>Only one of the collets can handle this size.

Can you tell me if the internal diameter of the shank matches the bit size exactly from the opening to the base if you have these?

Collets are made to fit a limited number of shaft diameters. As a result, a collection is required. The maximum bit OD is determined by the base ID, and the opening corresponds to the smallest allowed bit diameter when fully tightened with no bit in place. No, is the simple answer to the question.

Okay, but the quality is mediocre, and the sizing is possibly incorrect
4/5

Even though the collets are not the same shape as the originals, they fit and work fine in my Dremel 395. Except for a few minor flaws, they're well-machined; only two in my set needed a little deburring on the slits and shaft base. When it comes to collet design and machining, there's more to it than meets the eye, and while I already know a little about it, these have inspired me to learn more. All of my bases are 4 inches wide. 1mm in diameter and fit a little loosely in the motor shaft (original Dremels are 4). 3mm to 4. 4mm, with a slightly tight fit). The overall length is slightly less than 16mm, compared to 19mm on the originals, but this is insignificant in operation. The bottom chamfer is cut at the same angle as the original, but with a much shallower depth. This causes them to ride "high" in the motor shaft, but they still function properly. What's more, the main shoulder/gripping area of these brass collets is longer than the originals, providing good/better gripping power on the bit shanks. Perhaps this is necessary because they are brass rather than aluminum, but they certainly grip well. In terms of precision and centering, they're no better or worse than the original Dremel collets, which I frequently find needing to be adjusted a second or third time to get a true rotation, but this varies depending on the bit (this is true even for bits that I know are extremely precise in their straightness and concentricity). I purchased this set by mistake instead of another I was considering on this site. A 3 was what I required. I bought some burrs that were advertised as 1/8" but were actually undersized and needed a 0mm collet to fit them. Because the 3/32" collets in this kit appear to be a little oversized and fit the 3mm shanks nicely, it works out perfectly for me. If you have a lot of nonstandard bits or a variety of drill bits, I think the adjustable multi-tool is the way to go. chuck instead, despite its flaws (but make sure you get the Dremel-branded model, which is made in Germany). All of the copies made in other countries appear to be shoddy). It'll be interesting to see how these brass collets compare to aluminum in terms of durability and grip over time. If one of these Chinese manufacturers, or someone else, could make a genuine Dremel-like tool, that would be fantastic. They'd have a gold mine of customers waiting to buy a proportioned brass collet with higher quality precision. However, as another reviewer pointed out, if precision is required, Dremel is not the way to go.

For varying bit sizes, this is extremely helpful
4/5

These were purchased to go with my Wen 2305 rotary tool (i. e. "Alternative" to a cheap dremel). They're particularly useful because I use a variety of small bits for jewelry making that are far too small to fit into the standard dremel collets. It's easy to find one that fits the bit I'm using because there are so many sizes. My only quibble is that they are a little too loose in the tool. They still work fine once everything is tightened, but I believe the loose fitting causes some wobble when I use my smallest 1mm jewelry bit. I don't know if the loose fitting would happen on a real dremel because I don't have one to test it with; the loose wobble is only noticeable with the tiny bit because it makes such a small hole that even a small wobble makes a big difference.

Replacement set that is very useful
4/5

If you use a Dremel often, this set of replacement collet chucks is a must-have. However, because these are brass, they won't last very long if they're handled roughly - With Dremel work, this isn't usually an issue. Because they are softer than steel, they can more easily conform to irregular surfaces. a variety of sizes Of course, if you need extreme precision, this is a disadvantage. Dremel isn't the best tool for extreme precision, but it's not the worst either.

It really works
5/5

These were purchased to replace my M12 Milwaukee Rotary Tool's 1/8" aluminum collet. Perfect fit and didn't bind up like the aluminum version (which was my goal when I bought these). They're also a little more straightforward to tighten.

Dremel bit shanks with 1/8" shanks should not be tightened
3/5

These collets do not tighten around a standard 1/8 Dremel bit shank, despite the fact that they are advertised for use with Dremel tools. The slits between the collet segments are far too narrow, preventing the segments from closing tightly enough to keep a firm grip on the bits without slipping. br>br>These are fine for light work like polishing, but they're useless when it comes to cutting wheels. They're also a little shorter than genuine Dremel collets - br>br> This is most likely why the slits were made smaller. br>br>Poorly made knock-offs br>br> offs. It's a shame, because I was hoping the brass ones would be superior to the aluminum ones.

In my Harbor Freight (Chicago Electric) rotary tool, it worked perfectly
5/5

Other than me doing what I do, I'm not sure how I lost the original. working without regard for the consequences). However, I misplaced one of the collet sizes for my rotary tool. Because Harbor Freight didn't have any replacements, I turned to Amazon for suggestions. I don't have a Dremel product, so I'm not sure how well these collets will work with my Chicago Electric rotary. But, as it turns out, these fit perfectly, and once they arrived, I was able to finish a project. There are no changes to be made. It was a simple drop-in, and I got to work right away.

This is also true in Milwaukee
5/5

Fits both the Milwaukee cordless rotary tool and the Milwaukee cordless rotary tool. The majority of my Dremel accessories can be used on both brands. Collet nuts, wrenches, and the router base are all included in the kit. The Milwaukee tool does not accept standard collets because they are too long. br>These collets are compatible with both my Dremel and Milwaukee; The issue has been resolved.

Collet replacements that work great
5/5

I've put a lot of use into my rotary tools over the years, and after inspecting a few of them, I decided it was past time for an upgrade. As a result, I purchased this package because it appears to address a wide range of requirements. These brass collets are compatible with all of my rotary tools, including those that are mounted on a flex-arm. shaft, they grip the bit as they should, and, to sum it up, I adore these! Anyone would be wise to make this purchase!.
