Selected User Reviews For LITSPED Tip Tool - Dime Radius
The abrasive material on the side and back, as mentioned by another reviewer, makes using this quite unpleasant. To solve the problem, I used gaffer's tape to cover the affected areas. In any case, I don't believe they would have been very effective at what they were supposed to be used for. Its primary function is that of a shaper, and it performs admirably in that capacity. I believe it is overpriced, as I stated in the headline. If having a truly excellent shaper is worth that much to you, go for it. If you want to use it for trimming, burnishing, or even roughing up the tip, I believe there are better tools available. br>A shaper-only tool could have been made for a lot less money.
I bought this tool because I figured that for the price, someone could change one or two tips on my cue and I'd be set. I had to replace two tips on this tool and used every side of it, and it performed admirably; simply take your time with it. I used a sand paper cleaner (a block of rubber) to keep the sand paper clean and it lasted a long time. You can also touch up your tip if it starts to mushroom or you need to burnish it. I'd buy it again if I had the opportunity. They also provided a free shaft cleaner and burnisher, which works well. It's a step up from the last tip tool I purchased.
I gave it four stars because I purchased it primarily for the shaper, which performs admirably. The problem is that it's a coarse grit that works fine for big jobs like shaping new tips but not so well for the more delicate work that the tool's other parts are designed for. As a result of the coarse grit coating on the grip surfaces, you now have an uncomfortable tool that you are unlikely to use. br>br>I like it a lot, but I think it would be more comfortable if only the shaper was included. That stuff will most likely be ground away.
Perhaps not the "FINAL" one I'll ever require. HA! br>br>Mine arrived with a minor flaw, but the overall quality is outstanding! The rough areas are thick and extremely well made; I love that this shaper will allow you to always keep a rough tip along with the dime shape. br>br>I added some gorilla super glue gel, it should be fine. br>br> br>Unlike the others, you can really work the tip to your liking with this, whereas the others have a limited scuff surface area. The size is perfect, and it feels like you're holding NASA-grade titanium. VERY GOOD QUALITY! *Dennis Searing has also given his approval! That, in and of itself, says a lot! This time, I give it five stars. However, on the burnish side of your leather, use a better glue.
This was an excellent purchase. The shaper, like a few other reviewers have said, is a little coarse, so it's not something you'd want to use frequently or you'll go through tips quickly, but it works great when you need to fix a deformed tip or shape a new one. However, it does not, in my opinion, replace the other tools for minor repairs and light scuffing.
I've never shaped the tip of my cue before. I, on the other hand, have picked and scruffed it. As a first-time shaper, I can attest to the fact that it's incredibly simple to use and includes all three options in one tool. It took me a while to get it to the dime shape I wanted because I had a choice of nickel or dime. It is something I strongly suggest. 🎱.
This tool is extremely durable and will last you a very long time. br>Highly recommended!.
This tool will last you a lifetime because the sandpaper appears to be metal, which shapes your tip while causing minimal damage to the tool.
