To attach the table top to the aprons, we need to cut slots for zclips to attach them. A scrap piece of wood was used to certify the bit and it left bad burn marks and had poor cutting quality. It worked the same when I cut several pieces of scrap wood. Having recently built my coffee table, I did not want burn marks on it. On my way back to the shop (garage), I played with speed settings on my Bosch 1617 router, and I tried again. When the bit was set at its lowest setting, the slot was perfectly clean. Just like clicking the easy button, it was easy. You may be experiencing burn marks and your slots are not cutting well if the power setting on your router is too high.
Highly recommended and much better than I expected, excellent product of measuring for robust milling cutting, 12 MDF boards measuring 80x150 centimeters x 16 millimeters thick I milled them as if they were butter and no dent or cracks were found.
I have used it for professional jobs so far, but I am not sure how long it will last since I haven't used it for its full life. When out of the box, it is sharp and I have used it for professional work.
Splinters are minimal and the cut is clean.
A minimum of 8-inch pieces should be cut A 10 foot length of deep 5/16 slots will still be.
This is a good work.
