Questions & Answers
As a rule of thumb, it would be best to use a tool (bit) with a large diameter cutting blade if you want to cut deeper.
I love the cutter because it is very well made. The shaft has a nut at the end of it that indicates the cutter can be replaced. If you need a different pattern of slot cutter blades, you should contact CMT. As of this writing, I have not attempted this due to the time constraints. The amount I could save would be minimal if I were to change the cutter and bearing while using the same shaft. The savings is in the cutter and bearing itself.
During the cutting process, the kerf is 1/4" long, which is also known as the cutting length. A cutting depth of 1/2" has been selected.

CMT router bits have many of my router bits and I am a huge Just like them, they are well made and durable. A certain project required this particular bit, and I intended to change out the bearing to allow a shallower cut, but was not able to find an It's possible that CMT could take steps in this direction to allow for more depth cut options.
Worked well. Used it to cut the bottom of a barn door for it's guide.
I trust that it will do what it's supposed to do and create a nice, smooth slot in my wood.
They are made to last for a very long time, and they are very durable.
Sharp as a tack. Purchasing this product was a good decision. The two-wing experience is undoubtedly superior to the three-wing experience.
A barn door can be used as a guide for your floor.
I am not sure whether I will use it for anything else, but at least I have it now.
I really like this price! I used it on Trex decking material and it worked great.
