In fact, yes. If you want to go fast, I would advise you to proceed with caution. It hasn't worked that way for me because I have a stationary one. I wish you every success in your endeavors.
It is unknown. Nonetheless, they do a good job.
This is intended for 3/4 jointing, so I'm going to go with no. I used 3/4 inch poplar to build my cabinet doors. 2x4s should not be used with these.

Its shank is too long! Next to the price, it is one of my biggest complaints. My head is spinning over the question of why it's half an inch longer than it should be, and there definitely is a safety issue for These bits actually come packaged very well and with two extra washers. However, the tongue bit was about 1/32 too narrow for the groove bit it comes with, so I used the wider one instead. You should conduct due diligence and make your test cuts before you proceed. Overall, I think these bits can be shortened, but I think I need to do so first. There was no way to reach the "K".
It is up to you to align that. I had a little difficulty getting it right because of that. As a result, consider double-checking If you cut something you want a snug fit, check the length of the bits.
For the price, this is a decent product. The product appears to be well made and packaged. To set up the tongue and groove parts so that they fit correctly was a little bit of a challenge, but you'd have the same problem with any tongue and groove part. This scary machine scared the hell out of me because of its very large/heavy cutting head compared to its 1/4" In the event of the shaft failing at 22,000 rpm, it would be truly unfortunate. In fact, I ran the pieces several times in shallow water while wearing all my safety gear.
This is the biggest challenge when it comes to setting the right height. The router I have is mounted on a bench top table, and the bench top table cannot easily adjust the height. With scrap pine lumber, I set up each bit as it was needed to cut. As I was making some cabinetry, I started by laying out some oak boards for the stiles and rails. The teeth on these have no problem cutting hard wood like oak. I read a few negative reviews, but they have no problem cutting them. The product I purchased is exactly what I was looking for.
Although I order the 1/4" shank version, the first bit set I received had a 1/2" shank, and the box was clearly labeled 1/2", which did not fit my 1/4" chuck router, so I had to return it to get the correct one. You may have guessed, but also the second set had a 1/2" shank, as indicated by the label. Amazon should be held responsible for this, as the distributor correctly labeled the product. During this time, the frame of a 40+ year old router cracked while using other bits, and it was no longer usable. There is one with both 1/4" and 1/2" chucks that I bought. As it turns out, I have been using the 1/8" shank router bit Amazon sent as a replacement with my new Bosch router and have decided to keep it. Both the Bosch router and the Bosch router table (also new) do a great job using these KOWOOD 1/2" Shank Tongue and Groove bits. Since I have only cut eight shaker style doors so far, they all fit perfectly. I added a washer (included) to expand the groove and space the outer cutters apart, and they all match the stock 1x3, 3/4" thick.
A set of these were so nice to cut, didn't leave any burrs, and the fit between the male and female was excellent. An average carpenter will look very good with them.
My only experience with the cutter was cutting the groove in primed pine, and it did so smoothly! Thanks to this awesome cutter, I was able to complete my project quickly. The only caveat is that the cutter has a very wide diameter. If used in a router table, the access hole may not clear it. There is a crappy old table and an old router in my workshop. The router had to be adjusted to full height in order for the cutter to fit. Once you are at the right height, come back up. After that, they would need to remove the bit guard from the fence, which also wouldn't work. Following that, everything worked like a charm. Therefore, clearances should be kept in mind. With this bit I was able to cut a clean, perfect 1/4 groove for my project at an affordable price. It also provides ease of use and cuts a really sharp edge.
You must read the entire review to find out more The leather is of a very high quality. It doesn't feel cheap to touch, and each of them is heavy. The storage case comes with them as well, which is great. It was initially difficult for me to like them since I didn't realize you could add or remove the spacers for a much more precision cut. But when I figured that out, it got easier. Among the best router bits I have purchased for this purpose is this one. It is absolutely vital if you plan on doing any tongue and groove cuts in your shop. It is a very good set and very affordable at the same time. I have never received compensation for ANY of my reviews. As always, this is just my opinion through my eyes to help others (I wish I did). We invite you to vote if the review is helpful.
