Cut straight down and shear straight down. From my experience with Freud router bits, the cut quality is excellent for veneer, just a little practice with bit speed and feed rate is required.
The answer is probably not what you wanted, but I have to give it to you! In my experience, I haven't seen an undersize plywood bit that says it's intended for plunge cuts. Plywood is hard enough to get a decent cut in, but with these Freud bits I'd be willing to give it a go.
In your measurement, I think you are off by about 1/32". My opinion is similar to those of the other commenters. In the case of 3/4" plywood, I use a 23/32" bit sized undersize. I use a 3/4" bit when I am working with fill sized lumber as described in the previous comment
The bit for 5/8" plywood does not exist. In addition to the bits for 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" plywood, there are also bits for 3/8", 1/4" and 3/8" It is my pleasure to help.

The rubber bushings are excessively small and I'm interested in removing them to resolve the issue associated with them. I have yet to use my new bits, but based on reviews I decided not to use them until I resolved the issue. An old belt and channel locks helped me remove the largest part of the bit. When I removed the bushings, I noticed that, since they are rubber, you can twist them counterclockwise while applying force, which made them easier to remove. Three of the bits were removed without the need for channel locks by using an old belt or a small scrap of leather and the CCW rotation method. A later date, when I have used the bits, I will update the review.
All I can do is pull out the rubber grommets, which is no easy task. A German company that makes precision tools. There is no justification for making the packaging so A user reported yellow gunk on the bit shafts, but this was not the case. This packaging design is terrible. You may tilt the holder forward for removal, but it won't be far enough forward to be able to pull That's all I have to say about It's time for Freud to wake up and fix it. In terms of the bits, Freud is fantastic as usual. The packaging is lacking imagination, so I won't give it a five-star rating.
A lot of other users have pointed out that the holder is too tight. I removed the two screws holding the tip out portion in place by removing the two small screws. The bits must be removed first and then a true 1/2" O should be used. Utilize a high speed drill and a router bit to ream each plastic bushing until the fit and tightness are the way you like it. I love the way it works!.
I like the bit quality and the sharpness of the bits. I agree with others who have noted when it comes to these, it is hard to get them out of the box on the first try This is a tip to help you unbox You will need to unscrew the bit holder piece from the case on both sides and place it in a vise. wrap a soft, thick towel around the sharp bits to protect your hands and work them out using pliers on the towel gently so you don't damage them. In order to get the CD holder out easily but not fall out of the case, put it back in only half the distance so that you can access it easily. Attach the holder to the case with.
Why is the box so thick and bulky? Its appearance is decent, but it's quite large. Thank you for letting me take $15 off and saving me the space this overengineered monstrosity takes up. It was so tight that I had to lever the rubber holders out, risking damaging them in the process! The 7/32" one has yet to be freed. Soon enough I'll need to create an on-site bit storage system. There are no complaints about the bits. They're a tight fit for the metric plywood.
Freud makes great products, so I expect to be well satisfied with this 4 piece plywood bit set I received. I haven't used the bits enough to comment, but Freud makes great products. There have been a number of reviews that talk about how difficult it is to remove the bits from the box, and I was having the same, ridiculously hard time pulling them out. But I was able to use a wooden handscrew clamp to secure everything. While it is a clumsy tool to use for the purpose, I was able to twist and pull the bits out with little trouble by clamping down tightly on the bit blades. Thanks for sending them! I look forward to using them!.
Until I understand why devil puts his butties in such a tight position, I will always be confused. I could pull out most of them by grasping at them with a rag, but the 1/4 of one was too small, so I had to pull it out using pliers, grabbing it by the body. Since we did not touch the buckets, it should be okay, but it was very The reason why I took one star off is because of it. Unless the holes need to be filed down a bit, the case is perfectly fine. Do a little filing and you can Due to its plexiglass composition, it cannot be broken easily.
This packaging is horribly bad. It's all right. To begin with, I am a big fan of Freud bits and blades as well, and these are no exception. There is nothing I love more than having a full set of "undersized" bits that are related to thinner plywood. It is only the packaging in which these are contained that is lawless. The suit is about to be filed. Bits like these are so tightly held by their shanks that there is no other way to remove them than In terms of height, I am 6'1" It took me about two months just to remove the keys from the case. My fingers were too weak to do it. My best was not good enough. It cut my finger nearly to the bone when my hand slid upward and my finger sunk into the blade. A deep subject. The design is SUPER POOR and I can just imagine how badly some idiot is going to hurt themselves. Although it could have been far worse, mine was just a "oweie". I'd still recommend the bits themselves as they are excellent.
