As an experienced bit owner, I am accustomed to bits with 1/2" and 1/4" shanks. Can the bearings with a 3/16" id be used? What does that have to do with CnC ?

It is made in China, and does not bear the Whiteside logo

There was a label on the package that said "Whiteside" and the North Carolina address, but it was only sealed with It was hard to tell what country of origin most of the bitts came from. "China" was stamped on the ones that were available. All the parts did not contain a Whiteside logo or any other logo recognizable to me. In light of the description, I assume this item is American My return was due to misrepresentations, so these were sent back.

Parts were received in a package from China

Tape had been used to seal the package after it had been opened. A label on the package indicates that the bearings are from China. Despite what it says on the outside of the package, these are supposed to be Made in the USA. This is the second time I have returned a pair. I could have bought Chinese ones on eBay for 1/3 the price.
