All of these have an inner diameter of 3/16". They are 3/8 inches, 1/2", 5/8 inches, and 3/4 inches in outside diameter
There are four B2 (3/8"), three B3 (1/2"), two B7 (5/8") and two B8 (3/4") Bearings* in this set, as well as one 3/32" Hex Key Wrench.
A shank measuring 1/4" will NOT fit these bearings as they have a 3/16" inner diameter. With a 3/16 hex shank/cap screw, they are intended to be mounted on the bottom of the bit. It is possible to use these if the bottoms of the bits are threaded, as long as you have the screw to fasten them.
They are for router bits and may not fit all manufacturers' router bits. This bearing has nothing to do with the size of the collet that a router bit requires. Here's what I could come up with.

You have to buy white side bearings when you are buying router bits. a few that have just fallen apart and White Side won't replace them unless you send them back first. They will then assess whether or not you can replace them. I was not convinced it was worth the cost of one bearing. Rather than Freud router bit bearings, you should use them. Bearings made by Whiteside are just not as good as they should be. My experience with Freud router bit bearings has been far superior to my experience with Whiteside. I do a lot of hardwood milling (trim, moldings, furniture, cabinets, etc. ) and have used a variety of brands to determine which product is best for my applications. Performance that will last for a long time is what I value. Although Whiteside bearings are mediocre to poor, they are still better than most.
It clearly states that it is made in the USA, but the bearings claim to be from China. This is a very misleading statement.
It allows the depth of cut to be interchanged between a number of router bits, for example, in order to reduce or increase the depth of fillets. A single bit can be used for a variety of molding profiles.
What a great set of bearings! My Ryobi roundover bits fit great and have no issues with binding since I used these to replace the garbage bearings.
By switching out the bearing on a flush trim bit with a smaller one, I was able to cut a groove 1/8" wide and 1" deep on the long edge of my patio door. I was able to accomplish my goal. I'm very pleased with my purchase of the whiteside flush trim bit and the whiteside trim bit as well.
It is nice to have the option of selecting the depth of the cut just by selecting the bearing.
