There will be differences depending upon the type of tile. If it is a solid body tile Once the tile edge is the same throughout as on the surface, then rounding over the edge will be fine. Your tile will appear more or less bare under the glaze or printing if you cut it, and you may have to deal with chipped edges. As it will be applied to solid-body porcelain, I want the rounded edge to have the same appearance as the surface of the tile. Natural stone tiles will also seem the same if done correctly.

Granite Countertop edges are often profiled when fabricating granite countertops, such as undermount sink edges. It is my first time with Granite and on a Router. I find it to be exceptionally forgiving and foolproof. It is literally impossible not to make the edge perfectly straight and smooth. There is 1/64th of an inch of bearing set in the cutter head, so any small bumps or minor roughness are compensated for. Take a break. I used Diamond segmented blade and a grinder from Harbor Freight to make these cuts Taking the pieces out (Do not try to force them Remove all parts of the cut). To do this, I used Toolocity VBDW0020 2 The dimensions are 2" x 2" This 18-inch Brazed Diamond Coarse/Drum Wheel, from Amazon, will help you smooth out your grinding surface. If you intended to use polishing pads, you would have to purchase a $165 plus Wet Grinder, however, this bit should last you some time since it leaves a very smooth and clean.
The stone I needed to round over for my hearth was about ten linear feet long. It worked perfectly until about the last two feet or so, when the speed had to be slowed down considerably. I think it's a good job, but consider it to be a save and dispose If I used water for the long term, maybe the life would be extended?.
The results were fantastic! Cutting with them was smooth and they kept their sharpness. I recommend this product highly.
The bit was used to make travertine and marble bullnose tiles for my bathroom renovation. I used my Bridgeport Mill to make the tiles and a shopvac to collect the dust. A router would do the same job. I saved hundreds of dollars by doing so. Once I had shaped the edges with this bit, I polished them with 3M diamond pads.
Putting granite tiles on my counter top required me to cut the edges. I had no trouble with it.
Based on the bluestone system. I was impressed with the result. It has been soaked in water for 120 feet and looks brand.
Two large diamond flakes were embedded in a deep groove. My diamond cutter did a good job after I cut them off with my other one.
