My 6" sander came with a thin wrench (approximately 1/8" thick). I used that to remove the pad (1/8" thick x 9/16") From the owner's manual: Position the wrench to engage the flats on the spindle; it may be necessary to rotate the pad by hand. Remove the pad by rotating it counterclockwise while holding the spindle with the wrench. then install a new one by reversing the procedure.
Why spend so much money on a Cadillac when there are so many cars with four wheels? Are you making a comparison between apples and potatoes?
Also from Porter Cable, I had to purchase a very thin wrench that reaches under the pad and grabs and spins it off. It cost somewhere around $3.
First, the easy part: this model is a hook surface. The difficult part is if your polisher's anchor is above the pad's surface, i.e., if your polisher's anchor is above the pad's surface, i.e. If there is a screw holding it to your spindle, then it will not fit. This item is made for orbital action with a "soft center," that is, it is designed for orbital action with a "soft center," that is, it is designed for orbital action with a The cushioned material extends all the way across the pad's surface. If this is the case, it is attached beneath the dust skirt and requires a very thin-gauge wire. (Your polisher should have included a profile wrench.) ) I hope this information is useful.

It was a perfect fit for my PC sander. It was a little difficult to put this together until I found the very thin wrench I needed. It was also discovered that inserting the wrench from the back of the tool spindle, rather than the sides or front, worked best. br>After that, the pad spun off easily, and installation followed suit. I believe it will last a long time. I use this sander to sand the bottoms of boats, and the previous pad lasted me years. br>However, the price is a little high, particularly when compared to the 5" PC pad I replaced at the same time.
My Porter Cable random orbital buffer's original backing plate had reached the end of its useful life. After 14 years of light use, it was still in good condition. The backing plates from Lake Country Manufacturing have a lot of fans among detailers. Because I've always liked LC pads, I bought one of their backing plates on Amazon. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence, but the LC backing plate I received had a lot of runout and was unbalanced. I gave it back to you. br>br>This factory PC plate is perfectly balanced and free of problems, and the velcro holds the pad in place perfectly.
My polisher's original pad finally gave out after years of service. The foam rubber simply wears out over time and must be replaced. Because it's an OEM replacement for my Porter Cable polisher, I went with this one. The replacement was simple and quick, and I was back to polishing my cars' paint in no time.
H was my sander when I bought it. I wanted to upgrade because I will be able to remove the paper and re-use it in the future. L paper was not as easy to come by as it is today, and I wanted to upgrade because I will be able to remove the paper and re-use it in the future. put it in place.
On the double-hooked hooks, the hooks eventually wear out. Pad for the action sander. This is a unique piece. This is a replacement pad for the sander that restores it to its original condition. It's simple to change out. In addition, here's something else to think about: If your power cord breaks, simply cut off the receptacle end and wire it in to replace it. Make certain that the wire gauge matches the original.
I go through these pads every few years because I use my 6" sander so much. The hook and loop part usually fails first, but the threaded shaft failed this time. It was stripped out in some way, which has never happened before with my sander. Although everything eventually wears out, these pads appear to be in good shape.
My orbital's pad finally wore out after around 25 years. This is the new version. It's in perfect condition.
The hook and loop style of sandpaper attachment is one of my favorites. There are no more sticky glue residues to clean up, and a new sanding disc can be swapped out quickly.
