Good morning! Working with silicon carbide on pottery is a great method for creating durable objects. As the grit increases, it will push more into the polishing phase, while a coarser grit will remove more material.
I had the same A joint made of certain materials and types of material can experience this problem. The Zirconia belts we manufacture are tape-joined using industrial quality techniques to eliminate bumps. As part of the production process, thousands of miles of material have been removed at the seam in order to form a channel where the tape will fit. We have also developed a tape that is both very thin and very strong.
Something along the lines of 150 to 200 The grit size is 220.

Looks like it will last longer than standard belts of this size. This sharpener will be used to sharpen chipper blades for my 5" auxiliary power The fineness of the belts I could find did not go beyond 120 It takes guts. Even though the blades are 1/4" thick hardened tool steel, they still do the job quite readily and fairly quickly. It is the lack of finer grits, such as 220, 320, and 400, that is the biggest complaint. Perhaps not too important other than the finer grits would remove more of the grit marks from the blade faces, which would be purely cosmetic. An angle steel is a more common type of steel This belt has lasted at least twice as long as the more common belt found in local stores, and is still up to the task of grinding my chipper blades. Although they cost a little more per belt, they are able to grind standard bolts, iron, etc. , away.
I think the price is worth it. It is probably better than Diablo, yet not as good as These tools help me work with metal and hard wood, since I make knives and other metal tools. Unlike the Diablo brand, this one works pretty well and does not load up too fast. Despite its low price, I think there aren't many better options. I would have given them a 5 star rating if the belt edges had not frayed so rapidly when it was You probably wouldn't have to worry about your edges hurting since you wouldn't have to use them. I'm going to buy them again since, I mean, seriously, look at the price. Absolutely worth it, just don't use your edges.
An old steel file was used to make my knife. Steel files are hardened. I've found that these belts have been more effective at cutting the metal away from the file and have lasted much longer than the aluminum oxide belts I usually.
Woodworking is the main use for this I haven't used it yet on metal but expect it to shape fast too, as long as you use it on wood instead of metal. I haven't tested the longevity on metal, but it should last forever on wood. Not only that, but it doesn't clog.
A product that is reasonably priced, quality, and Made in the USA is very difficult to find. Sanding belts of this quality are amazing. As of now, they show no signs of wear despite not putting them through a whole lot of use. It was a great experience, I'll be buying more from Red Label Abrasives in the future.
The size we regularly buy was bought in the store and was put on the shelf as soon as they were delivered. After trying them on I found that they don't fit despite the fact that they are the right size. Having lost the ability to return the item about a week ago, I have no choice but to spend the money and still not have what I wanted. What a pain!.
Thus, I was disappointed with the belt given its average price. The steel bits that I burred were so small gauge they didn't hold up well. I have hardly used my 50 grit (like 45 minutes of sanding on and off) and it has worn down to 220 grit. There's no escaping the fact that I'm upset.
I took about five minutes to complete I used the blade for 10 minutes without getting it To get my belts finer and coarser, I need to get new.
