The product is made to be used on wood and it works best there. I have worked with aluminum and it worked well. Keep the heat very low and don't use things that are too aggressive, and you will be able to work with steel as well. In this case, it can't be used for what it was designed for.
Because my belt sander is approximately 50 years old, I am not sure if it would fit your machine, however if your machine takes a 6 by 48 inch belt, I have no problem with it. In my case, it worked, and it is one of the best belts I Here is some information I hope
The answer is unknown to me. No, I do not believe that is true. It would not be liked by my sander. These are like normal sand paper, not the wet kind My favorite kind of dry is this.
It is not possible to tell where the belts come from. They work, but there are some drawbacks to them. As a result of being folded so tightly, they are actually These garments have been hanging for months waiting for the creases to relax out of them.

I have never had a bad experience with a set of 6x48" sanding belts or with Powertec as a company. A belt too long for the belt sander could not be tightened since it was over 1/2 inch long. I have 3 belts for the garbage can! It was Powertec who failed to respond to our inquiry about the production failure. In the same way that the three monkeys demonstrated, "I am blind, deaf and dumb, so then there is no problem". It is at least comforting to know that we got our money back thanks to Amazo*'s outstanding customer service. Despite mistakes being made, an arrogant or ignorant customer service attitude from a professional business is not acceptable. You are to blame for Powertec's bad performance! The last time we bought from you was ten years ago.
The belt I used with this Delta 31- it fits well I owned a 731 disk and belt sander that would fail if used for a few minutes. When I first saw the hole in the belt, I thought it was operator error or a spot on the sander that caught on the belt. The belt on my machine didn't tear at all after I began using the machine again after a long time without it. I then switched brand belts and the machine worked perfectly. Next, I tried some of the last two belts from the order but they also failed to work. Since switching to a different brand, I have not experienced any problems. Therefore, I am not going to buy this belt anymore and I felt compelled to warn you before you purchase your belt.
To get the belt to pop apart, you need only a touch of tension. I went through two before I got one to work. This is not my first time changing belts on my belt sander, which I've had for 40 years. Belts were also sent to us ahead of schedule The belts were flattened hard and folded loosely into thirds to fit into the box (the packaging was nice, but there was a lot of folding and flattening going on) and I was originally worried the belt would snap across the fold line, but it didn't. It got two stars because at least I got 3 belts and the abrasive is good as well. However, there is something weird about the.
I absolutely love them. Several got it right the first time, did not scorch the wood, didn't clog. Since I had been having trouble with mine and would have to constantly re-purchase, I was quoting new purchases of my machine If I was sanding hard, I would have to adjust the belt since it would move from one side to the other. It was not possible for the position to remain the same. For example, if I sanded hard for more than ten seconds or so, I would have to redo the design Belts were to blame. Turns out they needed adjusting. As soon as they are set, they remain true! I am extremely happy with the outcome. Streamlined a 2 hour sanding job fraught with aggravation into a 30 minute task and never had to redo it They have already paid for themselves, so adjust the belt. From now on, I will only purchase this brand!.
Soon after the machine first started, I installed the first of three belts, but when the machine got up to speed, the belt flew apart. There was a separation at the seam that connected the two ends. As to whether or not the belt had drifted off the rollers, it was tracking fine just before it broke apart. This is the first time this has happened to me and the machine is about 10 years old. Using the arrows on the back of the belt, I installed the belt running in the correct direction. I have currently installed the second belt and it appears to work well.
A folded belt cracked through the resin to the base material when folded. A 1/8" defect also occurred in the workmanship of the seams. It was impossible to get the belt to run/track true because of For visual confirmation of defects, please see the attached photos.
It's pretty much going to be a repeat of EyePhotog's review. A good point was made by the author. Folding the belts for shipping was part of the factory's shipping process. Photog's review made me request a return of the product even before I had read it. It was easier to hang them straight after taking them out of the package. My belt sander is now equipped with one. It took me a while to put some tension on it, but once it's running, the belt runs true, it doesn't sag, and it doesn't show any weird bumps when it runs. It's been running on them for a long time since I bought Their price is also good, and they work. In comparison, they last longer than some generic belts I used to get from a local woodworking supply shop. From now on, I will likely reach for these belts again and again. We want you to keep in mind that you should not be scared off by the folds give them time to settle down.
The price is very reasonable and the quality is very good. The abrasives are not Klingspor, but they seem to be sufficient to tackle many shops' needs. A belt can have a long life if it is cleaned periodically (or if it is cleaned with the sole of an old tennis shoe). Once the belt reaches the end of its life, performance begins to decline Your instinct will tell you when you need to make a change. You will not end up burning your edges if you have an extra one on hand.
