As I removed the Phillips screws from 2x6 boards on my deck, I removed some Phillips screws from the boards. A few years later, after several years of sanding, the screws were seated about 3/8" below the surface, and some of them were bent as they were driven in. As a result of this tool, dirt and wood walls were removed from around the screw head, making it easier for the head to be removed. The head could be removed with vice type pliers if it was bent over as was the case with many of them. We would not have been able to complete this job without it. I saw the donut hole on every wire brush I saw in my small town.
You must run them in a faster rotation than a standard hand drill for these to work effectively. Results are better when there are more RPMs. In the end, I gave up on the drill and used a pneumatic high speed driver. This is a good price for the quality.
When used, the wire brushes remain tough and solid, regardless of how much pressure is applied. Most of the time, they hold tight and the wire does not immediately begin to release. It is highly recommended.
I used it to clean my car's calipers prior to painting them. A brush with a softer tip was used along with it. I was able to remove rust on calipers on different areas using both products.
